What would be a good team in Pokemon Platinum version?Right now I have a Salamence Swampert Palkia Empoleon Giratina and Milotic. Is this a line-up that could do well in stuff like battle tower wi-fi

Giratina and Palkia wont be usable in the Battle Tower, legendaries are forbidden. But You only need a good mix of 3-4 pokemon (depending on what you are doing). Salamence, Milotic, Swampert and Empoleon isnt a bad start, but its a tad heavy on the water side. A strong fast grass type would rip through most of your team, as would electric. From your team I would suggest Salamence, Swampert, and either Milotic or Empoleon. Empoleon might give you a little better type coverage than Milotic would. For my battle tower I typically use Scizor, Togekiss, and Heatran. More specifically: Scizor (Technician) with Bullet Punch, Bug Bite, Superpower, Swords Dance w/ Muscle BandTogekiss (Serene Grace) with Air Slash, Aura Sphere, Roost, Thunder Wave w/ Quick ClawHeatran (Flash Fire) with Flash Cannon, Flamethrower, Earth Power, and Dark Pulse w/ Choice ScarfStrategy for my team is simple. I Lead with Scizor, and if its a pokemon that I know isnt a big threat to scizor (he boasts alot of resistances), then I go ahead and do 1 Swords Dance. Then judging on what my opponent did last turn (a setup or low dmg move), I may swords dance again for a quick sweep. After 2 swords dances, a bullet punch will 1-shot almost anything, including some that are resistant to steel. If a Fire pokemon is pulled out, I switch to Heatran to absorb the fire attack and counter with a choice scarf'd Earth power. Togekiss is there to absorb ground attacks that may be targetted at Heatran as well, and giving good type coverage to handle Fighting types and with a 60% flinch with rate with Air Slash hes a good finisher when the chips are down. When a battle is going bad, Togekiss can stall out a win by using Thunder wave, and Air Slashing on moves following a paralysis. Otherwise Roost will negate Togekiss weakness to Rock and Ice, and allow him to get a good heal off without taking much dmg. With the opponent paralyzed, he can easily Roost and Air Slash alternatively to take down almost anything with a little luck.

Infernape - Great Attack + Special attackAlakazam - The best for Special attackLatios - Good spec, i guessTyranitar - Powerful, good moves.A tyranitar with 'ligthning rod' ability helps a ton if its partner is weak to thunder attacks. It absorbs all the attack. As for your team... It is weak to Ice, Grass and Dark, think people could tear through.(unless they arnt using the strong types).

I have a bunch of theoretical pokemon teams. One is:AbomasnowWeavileFroslassMamoswineLaprasRegiceAs you can problably tell already, this teams rely on the weather. If the weather were to change, it would colapase the entire team, so this team is not all that great. If that is not the case, however, then opponent lose 1/16 HP each turn, some team members have evasion boost, Blizzard always hit, etc. There are a bunch of other weather effects and how the team can utilize it more effectively, but I am too lazy to list them all... I'll leave it up to your imagination. I have other teams that also uses the weather as a main strategy, but those teams have legendary pokemon, so it would be "unfair," so I prepared a team of three unlegendary that I have right now:Metagross - Clear Body - illegally high Atk and high Def - Earthquake, Rockslide, Ice Punch, Meteor Mash - Leftover / Choice ScarfDragonite - Inner Focus - high atk and okay speed - Sword Dance, Outrage, Fire Punch, Aerial Ace - Expert Belt / Life OrbMilotic - Marvel Scale - high Sp. Def and Def - Recover, Toxic, Surf, Ice Beam - Flame Orb / LeftoverMetagross just sweeps away most pokemon that it comes across. It is also impossible to lower it stats, so the only direction its stats will go is up if Meteor Mash secondary effect occurs (raises Atk). It can survive an Earthquake or two used against it and by that time, it might have already take out at least half of the enemy's pokemon HP or maybe KO one. Dragonite is also just as good as Metagross once it uses Sword Dance. Once it has danced, it can also annialate anything it can hit (Outrage might be an overkill). It also a decent speed, a bit faster than Metagross, so it is a bit more dangerous and also does a good revenge KO. Milotic acts like the last defense stand against anything it is up against. If it were to be burned (if you gave it a Flame Orb), then her Def increases by 1.5x more (due to her ability), and her Atk gets lowered (not that she has any Atk based moves). She is a bit different from the other two because she only acts like a wall. After she use Toxic (and if it works), then all she has to do is just recover and slowly watch her opponent suffer.Team Weakness: Metagross instantly faints when Flamethrower is used, Dragonite can barely survive an Ice Beam and needs at least one turn to dance, Milotic will have trouble against Steel, Poison, and Elec types. In case you are wondering why I have the teams weakness, I want to show the major flaws in this team so that you can think up of your own team and then I can learn from it.
