right now when i hear the fire alarm go off i instantly think thank god i'm not in the shower and what idiot decided to pull it this time! and then i grumble get my coat and head to this place that... if there was a fire actually going, would no way help in actually protecting the studentsThe last fire alarm that went off was when i was eating in our mess hall... i was forced to abbandon my food! i was like noooooooo! and was sad for the rest of the day.So thats basically what i think and have though of while experiencing a wonderful fire alarm, so what do you guys think of instantly or do?

We've had quite a few go off in school recently - all of them tests, annoyingly. Being a member of 6th Form, we're not required to assemble in the playground with the rest of the school, so I just ignore the alarms and get on with my work. I always hope that there is a fire though - that way I can go home early.

Basically,I would wonder what that is until someone tells me it's a fire alarm. Then,I would grab all my stuff (unless I'm told to leave them behind) and go to where ever everyone else is going.

Lol, when the smoke alarm goes off in my house i think ' whats mom cooking this time' :( we create so much steam in our house when we cook that we actually take out the battery in the smoke alarms so they don't go off anymore

Hearing a fire alarm naturally tells me to gtfo out of dodge because there could be a potential hazard (most likely, fire-related). So.....yeah.

I wonder who it is who pulled the fire alarm - then I wonder if its a ruse to funnel the kids together so that we are easier targets....yeah, I don't like being herded like cattle as much as the next guy.

I think it is just an annoyance because we have to stop doing our work and wait outside until an official tells us to come back in

I can't start thinking, because we just had 3 or 4 Alarms and all the stupid teachers we had in those lessons said something like: "Ok... This is the test alarm...just go outside and leave your things here..." This isn't really.... preparing -.- so I think they're annoying! But I often think about what I would do if there's a real alarm. Maybe I wouldn't leave my things there... Because I would like to keep them? hmm...

My thoughts are generally "Not this ******** again." I then continue on with what I'm working on. It's pretty amusing at my new job, since everyone's still pretty good about leaving when one goes off, except me of course. My whole life there's only been two fire alarms that have actually been ligitimate, out of the hundreds I've heard (the semester of dorm building construction in which at least 50+ alarms went off randomly each week, with mandatory evacuation, was quite entertaining since I didn't live in that particular building. I felt quite sorry for the friends who did). Both real fires were caused by generator fires that were quickly contained. I also witnessed one laboratory fire that did not trigger a fire alarm.

I usually think "Another fire drill? UGH" which would be really bad if there actually was a fire. But I remember at this conference, the fire alarm went off and my friend actually was in the shower. She had to wait in the cold in a bathrobe.

I actually get ready to go outside very slowly, and am usually one of the last ones out of the building lol. I'm in no rush, unless I actually see a fire, then I'm booking it :x
