i had my 360 for about a year before i really got a chance to play it, and then i only got a year after that where i actually played it, then it broke on me... i waited about 7-8 months before i had a chance to get it fixed, and it worked for 4 hours... so i finally gave in and just bought a ps3, because out of all the people i know who own an xbox have gone through atleast 1-2 consoles... and out of all the people i know that own a ps3, only one has broke... but now that the new 360 has come out (like the one that came with the new halo), i'm wondering if the made it more reliable... if u own the new 360 let me know if its worth getting because i love 360 way more than ps3

New 360!! haha I don't have any problem with PS3 (I have both) but I just get more out of my 360 and the controller just feels better (in my opinion). Also the newer xbox's are waaay better than when they had first come out. And in my experience, it's almost never worth it to get technology fixed by a professional, if you can't do it yourself or don't have a friend willing to do it, it's not worth it, too expensive most of the time... Depends what you like really. If you need a blu-ray player but an inferior gaming experience then the PS3 is for you (okay and the price increase as well). On the other hand, if you want a good console for playing with your mates, plus the addition of kinnect now which could be huge in the future, xbox is the one.

You know, a lot of people say they have problems with the 360, but I can't say I've ever had anything go wrong with mine... just lucky I guess. 
Anyway, it depends on what you want out of the systems. If you want more utility then just stick with the PS3. If you're after gaming though, I say grab an Xbox. I just, personally, find that the Xbox has more enjoyable games, especially if you're the type of person who likes online play. Gears of War and Halo are always great additions to a gaming arsenal and are a blast at parties!

My Xbox is going on 6 years old with one problem (easly fixed). Besides the newer ones are better built

I would just get a new 360, because your used to the controls and feel of a 360.

just get the console repaied if you got it messed up, if not just buy a new one, its better than ps3 , the record return numbers for ps3 is proof enough

I personally prefer the PS3 (Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper etc.), but it all depends on what you like. Or you could just wait for the next gen consoles
