Though a couple of games from this series have become more well known (such as Persona 3 and 4), I find a lot of people have never played any of the Shin Megami Tensei games.I just bought Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga, and Devil Summoner, and I think all of them are great RPGs. I've played Persona 3 and 4 as well, but I really wish more people knew about the other games in the series. So, has anyone else played these games? Did you enjoy them? They can be a bit tedious at times, and I've had to level-grind a lot, but overall every game I played was definitely worth the time I invested into it.

I've played a few of the games. The original SMTDevil SummonerStrange JourneyNocturnePersona 3 FES and PortableMy favorite out of them is probably Strange Journey since it does the first person exploration and demon stuff pretty much the same way as the original. It's just got the benefit of much nicer graphics. The soundtrack is also supreme.

I have played all of the digital devil saga and tried Persona 3 but didn't like the game-play mechanics. I am interested in purchasing Nocturne however, since I have heard nothing but good from it. I have also played the DS releases but stopped since they were too tedious and messed up on a choice in one of them. They all have interesting storyline.

I've played Persona 3, P3P and 4, I quite liked them. I thought they were quite entertaining and cool, also very much so oozing with style.

I played Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 back-to-back, and my avatar and siggy are hints as to how much I liked them :( (Conversely, I hated the original Persona, quitting a couple of hours in, and I unfortunately got bored with Innocent Sin about halfway through.)I also have Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga, but I just got them recently so I haven't finished them yet. I'm working on DDS right now.I've played a bit of Strange Journey, but I got bored in the middle of Bootes and quit at the beginning of Carina. (I guess I don't like first-person dungeon crawlers :/)And while I'm not really a fan of strategy games, I loved Devil Survivor. It's been a long time, but I think I played through all but Amane's route. (And I really, really want a robe like Naoya's. T_T)

I'm a big fan of the series, having played and defeated almost every game and side-game (Persona, Devil Summoner, Majin, etc) they've made. The ones I never beat were Majin Tensei (the first one), and Soul Hackers (got to the final boss, but gave up on him). It really is a great and bizarre series if given a chance. The "Pokemon for Adults" as it were XD

Digital devil saga was fun, but a bit short. Nocturne was prob my favorite but not worth it unless you plan on fighting the optional bosses.

I've played a lot of them, though I've never gotten to finish a lot of them either. I've played Persona 3/4, Devil Survivor, SMT 1, Strange Journey, and Nocturne. I think Nocturne is my favorite, and I really need to go back and beat it someday.
