I wanted to hear what people thought about what the gaming industry has become. the way they some charge people for only half a game these days. I mean why buy a game when you know their just gonna release it again 6 months later with more stuff.

i know what u mean, u buy a game, then a month later they release a new map pak, or new quests and u gotta pay for those 2... and then after they have 4 new addons, and they release a new edition of the game with all 4 for no extra charge... they should atleast credit all the people that already paid for the addons... and wats with the first 360s that came out... they break down after u use them for a year? i still have a nes that works just fine... sure u have to blow on the games to get them to work sometimes, but watever atleast they still work

Well, videogame became complicated, visual quality requirement became very high, and some experienced developers think that more complicated games are better games...The industry became bigger, and games became complicated,so I, who has been a gamer for over 15 years, even started to think that just watching a movie or severalwould be a way better solution to kill time.

The problem with game companies(To me) is that they are relying on some of their older games for titles and future games and not taking a chance to make a new game entirely. I understand their are risks, I just feel they should try it sometime. I'm also annoyed on how they continue to release a new sequel/prequel to a game, expanding on the unneeded and end up creating flaws in the original storyline. (I do, however, wish that they would upgrade the original game and give it nicer graphics, fix upon glitches, maybe throw in a Dungeon for, I don't know, a hidden feature like a song playlist while playing?)

You know who I hate? Sonic Team. Every 3D Sonic game had a considerably huge difference in gameplay and almost every other element there is into making a game. So much that they stopped going Sonic 1, Sonic 2, and into Sonic something else.Graphics are awesome. Hell, not many companies can accomplish that on a Wii.Controls? They suck. And they come with glitches, bugs, bad camera angles, and stuff you just don't want in any game.Imagination? Oh hell, you cannot predict the next Sonic game. You cannot predict the controls, the gameplay, the music, and... I said this already.

The thing that bugs me is the fact that games come out in Japan like every other week. Good games too! Since I can only understand a little bit of Japanese and barely even read it, it's really a downer when I want to play a game that's not in English. There have been some games that I've been waiting for like forever, and they HAVE NEVER come out in English. I mean, hey, there are a lot of gamers in America too! Why not send over some good games too!

i think it's aite. i mean, they did work hard to develop the game in the first place. and everybody gotta eat, so why not charge whatever you want for a product you slaved away at. anyway, these days there's millions of punks like us who download games for free :haha:

Go big or go home. Because it's true. What do you have to lose?

You're forgetting two major details with that statement. 1) the marketing department doesn't make the games, they just decide how much to sell it for. 2) most of us only download the games because they charge so bloody much for them. I'd actually buy games if i didn't have to sell my left testicle to afford them.
