How do I get DSorganize on my R4?

go to your micro sd card and open the _system folder, you will see folders named theme 1-12, those are the 12 background that R4 gave you, all you have to do is download new ones or make them yourself and replace the ones in the folder make sure the files are the same size.anyways to save yourself trouble just download them and replace the ones in the folders with the one you want.http://www.mavisxp.c...?ShowNewFiles=1(Thousands of R4/M3 simply background warning, there are XXX backgrounds, the owner does not care what kind of background you upload so watch out, i downloaded a Bleach and a Hajime no ippo background i found on here).

R4 saves are in 512kbs, so you will need to use the save game comverter (its on the small cd that came with your R4) to change the save file to R4 format, you then rename the save file to the exact name of your rom, for example i have pokemon diamond.nds, i would rename the download save file to pokemon diamond.sav, it will then load it.

I didnt get my CD with it, i got it from bamboo gaming and they dont have the CD, also if i dont get the whole firmware thing like i download it but it turns to jibbirish and i have winrar, i got told to download it first and it will work but it doesnt?

If you have the real GBA game and you are using the D/P rom on the R4, Yes.

I tried to see if this was already posted, but the first page ought to be edited.The R4 ROM Trimmer will mess up certain ROMs: it's not a proper trimmer (lots of complaining at the R4 forums!) There's a nifty little prog called R4 Commander which handles that problem nicely.I've found that defragmenting your SD card helps fix a lot of "random" (black screen, corrupted visuals, broken saves, etc) problems. DO NOT USE DEFRAGMENTING TOOLS TO DO THIS. Simply copy everything off your SD card, format your SD card, and copy everything back on. Using defragmenting tools will A) take forever and B) dramatically shorten the lifespan of your card.Finally, it's also now possible to use the latest Moonshell, not just the R4-patched one, and keep soft reset and so forth: grab RESET.MSE from Rudolph's blog, over-write the one included with the latest Moonshell, and bamf! You're ready to go. you will need to buy a slot 2 card for gba cards, no slot 1 flash card supports gba roms (slot 1 is written on your ds on the back, its for ds game slot), and yes dealextreme is a well known seller of R4, although shipping takes 2 weeks, if you badly want to play gba roms, and are tight on cash then get a ez flash v expansion 3 in 1 also sold on dealextreme, it can only hold 1 gba rom at a time but it rumbles and is nintendo ds browser ram too, you cant use it on a mac though since you need to run the gba rom through a windows program to work on your R4.

sounds like you rushed installation of winrar and hit do not use winrar to open zip,rars,7zips.now you have to associate rar files with winrar.right click on the rar file, go to properties.click on the general tab.it will say:Type of File: Open With: Changeclick on change, a box with and it will say open with? and it will lists programs you have installed on your pc, if you do not see winrar then click on browse, and go to program files, and open the winrar file and select winrar.exe, you can now click on the file, yes thats alot of work but during installation of winrar you screwed up and unchecked rar in the file type association window.

Firmwares are simply just updates to the system that make sure that bugs are fixed, glitches are taken care of, etc. For R4s, they usually come out about once every month or two.

when a new games comes out it might not work on the R4 (example is last firmware update was to fix sim city,zelda) and to add in new action replay codes.

I want to delete some files in r4ds by using PC (windows XP).I use the usb 2.0 all in one card reader.but the system say the disc is write protected!how can I remove the write protection?Please help me

there are 2 ways to try and fix this problem, number 1 is tape, i have done this for my friend, his sd card reader would not let him write to his micro sd although he still access and read what was on the card, what i did was i got some tape and taped up the side of the SD translflash micro sd adapater, where the lock switch is, the tape pushed in the write tab so it once again worked, the other way is to open up your sd card reader and to manually pull the switch into the write position, then you wont have to worry about it, the only other way to fix this is to buy a new sd card reader. Some sd card readers are cheap and if you plug the adapter in and out the switch that the button pushes gets stuck and does not go back all the way anymore thats why you put tape on the adapter on the lock, the tape adds a extra mm or too and it pushes it in, hell dealxtreme sells them for 2 dollars each with free shipping just get a new one
