Yes, FAT is the same thing as FAT16. It's considered the "base" FAT filesystem, so they don't usually include the bit width in the name. Strange that a JP Kingston would give you any trouble, though. For the formatting options in the control panel I have FAT formatting and FAT32 I am thinking that FAT might be FAT16, but I am not sure, and I see where I have the option for 64k clusters.I am pretty sure my MicroSD card is the Japanese Kingston, it came in a mostly Japanese box, and it says Japanese on the bottom right of the card so I am quite positive it is the Japanese one.

Like somebody said before me, it might have been a problem with the R4, apparently people have them sometimes. I don't think the manufacturers will do anything if you have a faulty R4 though, so I am somewhat screwed.Hopefully it works better now that I have messed with the MicroSD, but like you said, people have had very few issues with the Japanese Kingston. Anyway, I have a Pokemon Diamond ROM from DGEmu, and all the stuff with the MicroSD, so if the game still freezes I guess I will try cleaning the contacts...if that doesn't work...something is definitely wrong with my R4.Yeah, I have tried just about everything...I think it might just be a bad MicroSD card. I am going to head to best buy today, I think I will buy another SD card, and if I have the same problems then I know it is the card.I looked around the interwebs and noticed several other people with problems freezing with an R4 on pokemon diamond...so maybe it's just a problem there.Oh well, I will stop playing diamond for a while, cause it's the only one with chronically bad freezing problems. Other games freeze once every couple hours, but that isn't such a big deal.Yes, FAT is the same thing as FAT16. It's considered the "base" FAT filesystem, so they don't usually include the bit width in the name. Strange that a JP Kingston would give you any trouble, though.

I think my system files are fine, noot to mention, I tried downloading, but I had a problem in the download, when I tried to redownload, it said I have reached my limit for downloading for free (i'm not going to pay for the download), I don't want to replace all my system files, but what is in yours that would be different?EDIT: I used your system files and it said the files were damagedtry copying over my system files, and about the games you requested they are already on the R4, copy overthing.http://rapidshare.co...45590844/R4.rar

I just wanted to say that the post I made earlier about not being able to use themes has been solved (quoted above), the cheat part hasn't yet, but I solved my problem with the themes (capitalizing problem, all files and directories were in lower case, all needed to be in caps, like they couldn't make it all in caps to begin withI have created a thread on my problem (link below), the problem I am having is I can't get the themes I downloaded to my R4 to work, all I get is the beta theme or whatever it is called, and the select button dosen't do anything as if i have no themes, the files and directories are named correctly and are in the correct places (check the image links in my thread), I have firmware v1.10 which I think is the current firmware for the R4, the thread I started will give more informationhttp://www.dgemu.com...howtopic=300206And another problem I am having is with cheats, either the cheat.dat and usrcheat.dat files I downloaded don't work, or the files I have downloaded do not include cheats for the games I have, I can't make my own cheat.bat or usrcheat.bat file becasue I use an iBook with Mac OS X (Version 10.3.9 to be exact), and as of right now, there are no apple compatible cheat file creator programs, as far as I know, so I need an already created cheat.dat or usrcheat.dat file with cheats for Super Mario 64 DS (the Japanese version if possible), Mario Kart DS (American version), and New Super Mario Bros. (American version), does anybody have a cheat file with those games?

Check to see if the moonshell ROM works by trying to access it from the games list, if it works there, make sure the ROM is all in capsSo instead of _ds_moonshl.nds, it should be _DS_MOONSHL.NDS, the R4 can't read system files and directories in lower caseIf you are having a problem with the moonshell ROM, try updating your moonshell from the R4 website, when moonshell launches and the files load, the bottom screen will say you have an error, but disregaurd that, moonshell will still load correctly and your files should play, the more you use it and the more you get used to it, the more you will be able to get passed the glitches and understand how to use moonshellim having trouble with playing media with moonshell, i think ive copied everything right but its still not playing.

nope, the cheat code editor is windows only you are out of luck.@dbgtdob-The cheats work fine, but I think I may take that other usrcheat.dat file you sent, the one I have is lacking on a LOT of games, (like only 3 out of all the games on my R4 are in my usrcheat)Is there a program to make cheat files that is compatible with Mac?
