I found a great deal on Amazon.co.uk for anyone living in the UK. Managed to get and R4 version 2 for about £12 and got a 2Gb SD micro card for about £3.I had a lot of problems with games on the R4 freezing as the connector pins on the cart were coming loose from the ds as it doesn't fit properly. This can easily be rectified by placing a folded up bit of paper on the labelled side of the card when in your console. This will stop the pins coming loose and hopefully aid anyone who was in the same predicament as me...where are you buying your R4 from here is a great deal.$43 dollars for a R4 and it comes with free shipping and a 1 gb kingston micro sd.http://www.dealextre...ils.dx/sku.1459probably one of the best deals out there on the R4, and i have ordered about 3 of them from this site and it took about 2 weeks (10 days), for them to deliver it to me, which with free shipping is understandable.

DSTT is beyond cheap and supports SDHClol I'll probably end up just buying a new cart, on that can read MicroSD cards lol, any suggestions or personal pref's?I've got a M3 DS Real that works beautifully (and sexy) ~KHRS
The R4 on dealextreme is cheaper then he quoted, but that was a year ago, so yeah. You might have had a bad batch. I have the R4 and I have no problems or concerns whatsoever. Except now I have to piss around with other carts because it doesn't support SDHC, but whatever, I love getting my packages from DX, and free shipping makes it so much more worth it.I found a great deal on Amazon.co.uk for anyone living in the UK. Download the latest version of the R4 firmware (which is 1.18) and put it on the root of your micro SD. It can be found here: R4 firmware version 1.18. If you run the game now it should work now. If not then try an ARM7 fix which lilaznkilla suggested. If that won't work then you can't play that game, because the R4 team doesn't make any firmware anymore. He already has the latest firmware. I should know. And I've even tried the ARM7 fix myself. doesn't work.~Mariofor some reason. when i boot it up on my r4, it says that the save data could not be accessed. help?

Have you tried the ARM7.bin fix?You can find instructions in this topic:http://www.dgemu.com...howtopic=363628I'm wondering if anyone has had the problem of not being able to find the save file and not being able to start the game. Unlike the option of where you are asked weather to create it etc..This is the game it'self telling you that the save can not be found and to please re-insert the game and re-start. Yes, I have copied the save suppled if it exists, but still I get the message. I also have the latest firmware for the R4 which I am running on 3 DS systems. Can anyone please help?ThanksGenman

That happens from time to time. Even happens to me.Make sure that the connectors aren't dirty. Try blowing into the slot and clean the connectors (the part on the bottom of the chip on the back), Then turn it back on. It should work afterwards.I'm having a problem with my R4, my ds wont read it, as in i turn it on and it doesn't automaticaly redirect me to the R4 screen, it just does the regular DS start up, but it says that there is no DS card inserted. Does anyone know how to fix this, or do i have to get a new flashcart?

To run games with your R4 you first need to install firmware, you should get a mini cd (just a very small cd) with you R4, put it in your cd drive and load it. Search a bit and you should find a folder called firmware or something (forgot the folder's name), then there will be 3 folders: French, English and Korean, choose your language and copy the contents of it to your micro sd. Put the roms you want on your micro sd and the R4 should function properly now.Edit to mario: Oops, looks like it was an old tutorial, I just used instructions of a youtube vid. I've edited the postHELP!I have a new R4 Revolution DS card plus 2mb Scandisk SD card together with a MicroSd USB stick.I have downloaded the zip ROM then extracted the files and copied onto the Sd card via the USB stick. When I then use the Sd card in the R4 in the NDS it says "couldn't find DS menu.Dat"What am I doing wrong?HELP Please!!!!.

R4 s no longer in production. If fake R4 cards are your friends thing, then give them the green light. If not, go for something elseSo, reading the past few posts it sounds like the R4 is just about dead, which is lame beacause I think some of my friends were about to get one. If this is true is there another flashcart they should get instead?
