Hi,Was wondering if anyone could help me with my R4?,I've been trying to play some games such as Harvest Moon, and Pokemon Platinum, and it says they're saves are corrupted.... In the case of platinum, I catch some pokemon, and level my pokemon, and then save at a location, however when I start over again, I'm at the location and my pokedex says that I have those pokemon, but I don't have them anywhere is this a glitch or might it be the version of the Pokemon platinum that I downloaded? thanks!

I have been playing Pokemon Platinum but have not had that problem. It might be the rom.

Check the following things before you are going to play again, because the games usually work on a R4DS.-Is your firmware up to date? (v1.18 is the latest for R4DS)-Did you turn cheats off? Cheats can mess up your games big time.-Where did you download the roms? Try downloading it from the free nds downloads or just from the main site. i don't understand the part of the guide thats telling me how to save games all i see is ok cancel ignore??? i just bought a R4 SDHC and im having trouble going online in metroid prime hunters searching for access point finding it only to shutdown my system and reboot with no corrections plus i generally cant save games.... help please?every time i try to run JUMP ultimate stars english patch on my R4-III upgrade it gets stuck at a white screen why?

Generally, that means either that patch is bad, or you patched it wrong. Though I would test the ROM file unpatched just to make sure the ROM itself isn't bad.every time i try to run JUMP ultimate stars english patch on my R4-III upgrade it gets stuck at a white screen why?

This guide is ALOT of help... You know R4 stuff i didn't even know about, though i've been using it for A WHILE.The fakes were kinda obvious though....

I have had the R4 for a year or so and everything has been fine, however on certain games when I put them on the card I get messages like " unable to access save files please reset etc" is this the fault of the rom or my system??

Please say which rom you are using, because some games have anti-piracy measures to prevent your flashcart from saving, look at this topic and see if the game is listed, if so patch the rom or use a special cheat.

u maybe own an r4sdhc which is slightly different.its firmware is currently at 1.25, try it on ur r4 , and tell me if it works, i am currently using this version of the firmware.http://www.r4sdhc.com/index-en.htmgot a question: does this flashcard work with the dsi??? or did nintendo figure out about it and implated some kind of security?

The R4 doesn't work with the DSi. There's only a couple of cards that do, and they're new versions of old cards.There's a link to info about that in the DSi thread.

I've been playing Pokemon Platinum for about a week now on my R4, and I've noticed 2 major issues- Pokemon stored in my boxes on the PC keep dissapearing- When I save, it only actually saves one in 3 times, I find when I boot the game up it loads a previous save state, I have save the game 5 times in a row to make sure it saves in the right spotis anyone else having this issue? I really enjoy the game but losing pokemon i've caught and stored is getting frustratingEDIT: After reading this topic, I'll check out YSMenu, whatever it may be, it seems to work with pokemon platinum, but what are the downsides to it?

Pokémon platinum version works perfect on the R4 with firmware kernel 1.18, so you're doing something wrong. You probably got a "bad dump" this means the rom is a very buggy rom and you need to download it from somewhere else. Ysmenu won't help you around the problem, because the rom itself is bad and will cause problems with that too. So just download the rom from somewhere else (dgemu hasn't got bad nds rom dumps), you can download it from here with a DP loan.

Your best bet is to erase everything off your MicroSD, start off with a clean slate and reinstall the firmware (that is, just redownload it and plop it back onto your card). Ah yes, then you'll need to go to their website, as they're not affiliated with the original R4 in any way and download their firmware. I believe it's currently 1.25, but I could be wrong.http://www.r4sdhc.com/index-en.htmThen click the 1.25 part and navigate your way to the download link.That should do it for you!

Don't bother with the patch. There's a cheat code file that's included on the R4 that you need to update for FFCC:EOT. The best way to update is to go to http://cheats.gbatemp.net and download the file from there. There's a lot of files included in the download, so be sure to hit up the readme there (Credits and Help.txt) to know which one to put on the R4.The reason it doesn't work is there's an anti-piracy protection mechanism on there. A lot of the newer big titles have something like it (Echoes of Time, Rings of Fate, GTA: Chinatown, etc).

Hello, i recently purchased a R4 SDHC Card. And it is currently not working with my NDSLite.When booted up, there is a box that says "Menu ?".Any help is appreciated.-edit, i'm an idiot and installed the wrong kernel.

So the error message is something like "Menu.dat"?Its probably that the card is looking for firmware.Did you put the firmware on your micro SD before sticking it into your R4?If no then there is your problem, download the latest firmware and put it on your micro SD card.http://www.linfoxdom...om/nintendo/ds/
