Ok, thanks. Does that site take PayPal? I'm definitely not giving my credit card number to a chinese hacker site :) And is there 1-2GB class 6 cards? I'm the kind of person who sticks to a few select games and then moves on to the next batch, so I won't need THAT many games on one card.

0shipping.com actually only takes paypal. Only SDHC cards are divided into classes. Although you should be fine with almost and 1-2GB memory card out there.

I recently bought an r4 card and i put the firmware on the sd card and put it in the r4 card and then into the nds. When i turn it on it stays at the "loading..." screen. Are there any solutions to this. From what i have found it's a faulty card reader and i should send in for a new one and i'm trying to avoid this at all costs. know anything that may help this?

I'm using an R4 Revolution for DS NDSL/NDS Card. Most of the games I download from DGEmu works. But some games doesn't for some reason, and I don't know if it's the file or am I missing something. For example I recently downloaded the game called Ragnarok for DS from XSEED. When I start it up, it loads then says:" The save data could not be accessed. Please turn the power off and reinsert the DS Card. "I've tried to reinsert it many times, and it still causes the same problem. This happens with other games as well, another example would be all the Harvest Moon Games (US Verison) gives me the same issue. Except the first Harvest Moon.I'm quite confused. Help would be appreciated to fix this problem if anyone could :[ !!

First of all tell us WHEN it happens, I don't know if you'r talking about loading a rom, or if you're talking about having "loading" the whole time while you boot up your R4, as the guy you quoted said that it appears upon startup.First of all check your firmware. It is provided with every R4 and is contained on a mini-cd. Just copy the firmware to your micro SD, and after that upgrade your firmware by downloading the 1.18 firmware and letting the contents of the zip folder overwrite all duplicate files on your micro SD. This should work for roms that won't load the whole time. If you want to be up to date with anti-piracy, then I'd suggest using Ysmenu which runs on TTDS firmware which is still updated (last firmware has come out yesterday).Another problem might be the Micro SD itself. Check the capacity of your micro SD, if it's over 2GB, then it's SDHC and it won't work with your R4. Simply return that 4GB or higher micro SD and buy a non-SDHC micro SD (up to 2GBs) and repeat the steps mentioned above.I can't really think of any other reason that your R4 would refuse to boot up. If this doesn't work, then try to return your R4 and ask for a new one. Do not forget that you also give them a proof of payment if do so.

The game has anti-piracy, I think. First check if your R4 is on the latest firmware (1.18), if it won't work, then, check this site http://www.gbatemp.net to see if a patch has come out. You can also use Ysmenu which runs on TTDS firmware, which is still updated, as I tested the game with Ysmenu and it worked perfectly. I will see if the game also runs with the normal 1.18 R4 firmware later today.

http://gbatemp.net is your best bet your homebrew and flashcart info. They have a special topic on Ysmenu on gbatemp: http://gbatemp.net/i...howtopic=164359However because this is a lot of work, I dug up a fully configured Ysmenu including the R4 firmware and moonshell . All you have to do then is backing up your games and saves, formatting your micro SD and put move all files from the zip file to the root of your micro SD. After that move all files to the nds games folder. Then you're ready to use Ysmenu by booting up your R4 and running Ysmenu.Link: http://www.mediafire...php?jvmkqdtdkjjIf you want to update Ysmenu, you need to go to the TTDS folder on the root of your micro SD and replace the files "extinfo.dat" and "infolib.dat"Here's also a link for the latest TTDS firmware that Ysmenu uses: http://gbatemp.net/i...howtopic=210705(links at the bottom of the first post)

I have a question about my R4, perhaps someone can help me troubleshoot this.I lost my original R4 and had to buy a replacement at the beginning of this month. Due to the number of Roms I have, I upgraded and bought the R4 SDHC for DS as well as a 4 gb card to go with it. the R4 runs fine, i loaded all my old games onto it from my backup with minimal problems. There are a few games I could run before that I no longer can, but that is not the biggest issue, so I'll get back to that. The largest problem I am having is that the R4 will allow me to run my old .SAVs and load my games, however, any new save data I create, or if I overwrite the old data, becomes corrupt when I try to load this. The only game I am able to successfully save and load with are single save slot games; like Pokemon, where the game itself is your save file and there are no other slots. With my new card I started adding games to it that I had but could not fit before and playing them for the first time on R4 and even they would have corrupted save files. So far: I have reformatted the card, I've changed it from FAT to FAT-32 and back again, I've tried replacing my kernal with a newly downloaded one, and I have tried running it with no .SAVs stored on the card. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this saving issue?Additionally, I am not able to run games like The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, and Mario & Luigi's Inside Story on the new R4 when I was able to on my old one. Any advice?Thank you for any help you are able to provide. :psy:

Oh boy, it looks like we lost a bunch of posts in this last DGEmu crash. Ugh...Well, I had posted in here a couple weeks ago about how the Sushi Go Roung rom doesn't work on my R4 card and only gives me a whitescreen. Someone here suggested that this may be a problem with firmware, and since the R4 company no longer creates new such firmware for the card, they'd linked me to two different alternate firmware sites. Now, I didn't want to possibly mess up any roms that worked currently on my card that might not with different firmware, so I went out of my way and bought a second micro SD card to use just for this. But the day it arrived? DGEmu went down, and today's the first day it's been back up. I came here looking for the post....and was quite disappointed to see it's gone. :( Could whoever posted these for me repost? I'd really like to give it a shot and see if I can get this game (and any others that might not work with the old firmware) up and running.

Try using Wood R4. It runs off wood R.P.G firmware and it is regularly updated by yellow wood goblin. I am not too sure if sushi go around works, but a lot of other roms do work on this firmware. However do note one thing, you need to change the file name of all your saves to *.nds.sav it might be tedious, but it isn't really a conversion, just a file name change. You can install Wood R4 by copying the contents of the Root folder to the root of your micro SD (don't forget the backup your files before you put the files on your Micro SD).Link: http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=11855(also front page news on gbatemp.net)

Okay, I downloaded it and put the contents of the root folder on my SD card; now where do I place my roms in here? (sorry if this sounds like a really retarded question)

Anywhere you wnt to, just like a normal R4. Although I recommend making a new folder, you can also domp everything on the root.

Are you sure the Wood R4 is meant to work with the R4 Revolution? All I keep getting is the endless loading screen now...

It is only meant to work on ORIGINAL R4's if you have an R4SDHC or an R4i gold or anything that has something other than R4 in it's name wood R4 won't work on a flashcart. There is however a version that will work only on the R4SDHC located here: http://gbatemp.net/i...p;#entry2756928However that one is based off version 1.5 that certainly DOES NOT run Sushi go around because this DSi enhanced game wasn't released back then.If wood R4 still won't work you can also try to to use Ysmenu, look at this topic for more info: http://gbatemp.net/t...smenu-on-the-r4Do note that you need to update the infolib.dat and extinfo.dat to play games that have anti-piracy. To do that download them from this topic: http://gbatemp.net/t...dat-infolib-dat (quick peek at the compatibility list shows that sushi go around does work with the latest files)

Oh, it's DSi enhanced? I have a DS Lite, might that be why it's not working on any firmware?

There's no problem with that at all. Because flashcarts can't use DSi features yet, most updates in firmware are made to lock out those features to play on ANY ds (including the DSi ironically). So you can just play the game, but you will need the appropriate firmware or patches (patches aren't made anymore for the R4 because of the custom firmwares). That's also why I recommended Ysmenu or wood R4, because the DSi enhanced games get fixed too.

I'm on it.Basically your problem is that you didn't download the stuff into your flashcart (sorry I wasn't clear about that!)Refer to your PM please, and try again. As I said, if you have any further problems please ask shadowman (or gbatest, he's around), since I'll only be online for about a few more hours.@Everyone helping him: Alright, basically we referred to this thread: http://gbatemp.net/i...3...t=0&start=0(as R4YSauto was recommended in gbatemp's pinned thread)I walked him through the basic steps, but neither of us is sure about the "unofficial library updates" mentioned. Feel free to contradict whatever I recommended if you have better solutions, but do take note that he's a complete beginner in such matters.

The libraries are updates to specific files of Ysmenu. They speed up loading times and they also lock out anti-piracy. The thread that was linked to is old, try this one: http://gbatemp.net/t...dat-infolib-datUsing the files is ectremely simple, just overwrite the extinfo.dat savlib.dat and infolib.dat with the updated files (I used a pre-compiled version of Ysmenu and now I switched over to wood R4, so I might have forgotten something)

Change your firmware:http://gbatemp.net/t...ares-for-the-r4If that still doesn't work try this patch:http://www.ds-scene....wtopic&nid=9744If that doesn't work too there's nothing more I can do to help you. You'll have to get a better flashcart I'm afraid. o.O
