i updated my firmware up to 1.09 chinese version but it still say firmware not found. what do i do?

i uh...kinda deleted my _DS_MENU.DAT file and now i replaced it with another but when i load my R4 it shows the background for the top screen but at the bottom it says sumthin in chinese and doesnt show anything and i think that thats bad...can someone please help me?

lol i fixxed it. u gota delete the _ds_menu system file. not the dat. ur r4 creates another one and it should work fine

There are no issues, the 1.09 kernal came out recently fixing an issue with 4 games or so.The difference is little other than price, the main difference is that R4 gets the most updates, so more games are supported.i have just purchased an R4 from the internet, and i'm looking forward in receiving this...Has anyone had any problems with downloading NDS games and uploading them to the R4 and playing them on the console??i'm proud to join the R4 group...i take it there's no much of a difference between the R4 - M3 & G6??

i know this question has probably been asked before, but how do i change themes? my OS comes with the 12 themes for each month and i know how to switch themes in-game but how do i add another one to the theme list? also, thanks Marubeni, you're right

just replace the picture files in the themes folders, it will load them up, no need to create new folders.

some rumor (I'm not sure when or where I heard it) said that you can use pokesav with the actual game.....Is this true?

if you have a flash cart or a real action replay ds, then yes, you can rip your saves off your game and convert it to flash cart form then edit it and then restick it back on your real game.some rumor (I'm not sure when or where I heard it) said that you can use pokesav with the actual game.....Is this true?

Hey All...I finally received my R4 and what a charm!!!This little gadget is a miracle worker!I'm currently playing Pokemon Diamond, and it works perfectly. doesn't lag or anything...I don't know how i didn't hear about this thing sooner!Makes hacking easier than the PSP!!

Can you tell me how? I have an AR for DS and I have no clue how to do that.....Edit: a text document will be fine. Hi all, slight problem, if anyone could help me out?I currently saved my pokemon diamond game on my R4...when i reload my game everything works fine, but when i click on my saved game, i get a black screen...does anyone know why this is??

well, my question is where the heck do I put the rom? I downloaded the new kernel for my R4 (chinese). I'm trying to get a rom of Ryuusei no Rockman - Dragon to run. I have a 1 gig micro.rom backup is roms, lol, if you have a slot 2 flash cart such as M3/G6 you can plug in your ds games and make your own back up rom copy, of course the R4 does not support it since the ds only has 4mb of ram and it has no where to hold the data for the R4 to do so.

anywhere you want, my friend put them in folders by genre, like one for shooters, one for rpg's, but i just put them on my micro sd, the r4 can browse though folders other then its system folder and moonshell so you can put it anywhere.well, my question is where the heck do I put the rom? Hey i was wondering how do i convert audio and video so that i can play it on my R4, i tried a movie, says does nto support AVI files.. confused, what format for audio and video do i need, and how do i convert them

I keep getting a screen that says on the lower screen in Chinese, that it's incompatible whenever I turn on the DS with the R4 in. so the problem was you were using a english r4 kernel on a chinese r4, ok thats why, that screen probably said incompatible kernel, here you got kernel 1.09 chinesehttp://gbatemp.net/i...hp?download=535.............Maybe that's why it doesn't work. I my card tomorrow so i'll be able to use my R4, which firmware would you recommend I put on?, the 1.08 or 1.09?.Here's something i'm not understanding clearly, when you offer the kernal (why are these firmwares called that?) 1.09 chinese above I understand that means it is only compatible with a chinese R4 but does that also mean that the language files will be chinese?.On the back of my R4 box is says made in china so which kernal do I use?, I just want to be able to understand the text, not that fussed whether I have 1.08 or 1.09 really.Hopefully a chinese R4 doesn't mean i'm stuck with chinese text because i'm sending it straight back if it does.
