Any opinions on Art Academy?

I'd like to learn how to draw and paint...I'm just wondering if this is a waste of my time. Would I be better off just watching video tutorials and all that, or has anybody had a good experience with this title?

I haven tried the game yet, but I did watch the demo videos showing how it worked. Based on that alone, I'd say it's a waste of time. For one thing, drawing using the stylus and screen is going to be significantly different than drawing with pencil and paper, or painting with brushes. No matter how good the system is, I don't think it could accuratly represent different pressure, stroke style, lines themselves, etc. The lesson demos that I saw don't seem to have much in the way of variety. They also seemed like very classic learning techniques, which could be easily learned from library books.
