Would a novel about pokemon, likely in the 500-800 page range, be exciting to anyone? Would you buy it?What if it was more than a fan-fic, and was marketed to a more adult or older teen crowd than to the youth that pokemon is generally marketed to?Would you be more likely to buy it if it were an ebook/available online, as opposed to a paperback or hard-cover?

Pokemon books wouldn't really interest me nor do I think they would interest a large population of the pokemon fans. I think pokemon is perfect the way it is. Maybe the books would gain some sort of cult following but they would not be large commercial success, in my opinion.

If this was to happen and was successful I would probably most literally die laughing  just straight out fall on the floor chortling till I let out my last breath. But yeah I'd buy it for a friend maybe. A lot of pokemon fans in the world

Perhaps I would enjoy reading them, I may have had an interest in Pokémon since the beginning of the 21st Century.

i think i wld buy a pokemon book if it were more based on real life for example the pokemon actually can get hurt not just take them to the poke center and they r all better but not to the point whr if they get burned they actually get rly bad burns more of if they fell from like 30 ft in the air they wld at least get a little hurt or if they burned someone the person wldnt be fine a few seconds later :/

There are several different Pokémon mangas. Pokémon Adventures is actually quite violent in comparison with what is usually related to the Pokémon series/title (i.e. it's not the usual "kiddy" style of story you would think it to be just because it has "Pokémon" and "Adventures" as the series title). Don't quote me on this but I think that Pokémon Adventures is also the oldest and the longest manga for Pokémon out there.EDIT: As for buying any Pokémon manga/book, I'm not too sure. I like to stick with the games despite my thoughts that it should end soon, and the fact that I strongly believe Nintendo is running out of ideas for Pokémon names and forms (Trubbish, really? And the single ice cream scoop evolving into a double scoop? Not my taste). I might look into Pokémon Adventures again.
