gotta agree with nash. nash is prob the best point guard right now. dude is sick. but screw williams and kidd i hate em fools. they act like spoiled whiny children and they flop too much.i think derrick rose is the next up and coming star PG of the nba. his stats are on par with the legends. right now, he is the bulls without him there is no team. and i say rondo is the most improved PG of the past few years

point guards when it comes down to it is the player with great passing skills and court vision. def steve nash, deron williams and rondo. those 3 have court vision like no other. my choice would have to be rondo despite hating boston. i think he's much quicker and better defensively compared to the other two i named. so i would say that the best point guard in the nba right now is rajon rondo.

Rose has carried the entie bulls team on his back. Easily best point guard and most likely MVP. If not rose then rajon rondo for sure

Hands down it's Rajon Rondo, he's got a lot of help. Although until this year he hasn't been much of a shooter, but he still manged to get his name up there. My opinion may be biased in this matter as I am an avid UK fan. If Rose can get the Bulls in the finals this year, I may retract my previous statement.

It's hard to say, because the standard role of a point guard is distribute and get people open looks at the basket. In my opinion that player is Rajon Rondo. Then again players can do that while still being able to put up a lot of points. That player to me is Chris Paul. But an ideal point guard is the kind of point guard that makes the entire team. What I mean by that is he is a player that can turn a bunch of par-level or even sub-par (for NBA standards) into solid good, or even great, players. That player is Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets. He can take a group of players that nobody has heard of before and turn them into a championship contender. Another player who defines that ideal point guard mold would be Mike Conley of Memphis. Yes he is not the best point guard but he does what a point guard is supposed to do, and that is make his teammates better players. Granted he gets a lot of help from Zach Randolph and Rudy Gay, but that team wouldn't be much if it was not fro Mike Conley. Overall I would say that they are two of the better PGs in the NBA.

either rose or rondo. i'm a celtic fan and rondo is just a beast. great passer and ball carrier. rose is just a court-to-court beast. he can do it all

I think Chris Paul is the best PG right now. Nash was it a few years back. He's still great though. Paul can carry a team if he needs to..he nearly beat the Lakers almost by himself.
