Do you prefer playing your games on your computer with an emu, or with the actual device in your hands?

i need the actual device. it's not the same to me if it was done on an emu. i need to have to portability and the easier button control that the device gives and the computer doesn't

Both has their pros and cons but I prefer console games.I prefer holding a unit's controller, easy button tapping and stuff. While emulators and roms come free, not all are compatible/workable though it gives you accessibility on codes, screenshots, media configuration and other stuff.

I like playing games on my laptop, because i can talk on msn at the same time. :lalala: The only bad thing about it is when i download a good game and cant take it away to play before i go bed or something, that really annoys me... :(

I like using a Handheld better, its more mobile and (surprisingly) lasts longer out of its charger. Although EMUs help me record for videos and cause less hassle, for all I need to do is spend DP and download. (Honestly DGEmu is the only ROM site i use)

I prefer playing with an actual console or handheld. Emulators are fine, but there's something about it that's just not the same.

I generally prefer the console but some stuff works well on computer, like if I'm chatting with friends over IMs it's easier if I'm just at the comp instead of over by the T.V. or whatnot, though for portable systems I guess that doesn't matter a ton.

Depending on game/console, I have different opinions. For pokemon, I have to go with vba for the speed up and multi-save functions. But if it's anything more actiony (such as metroid prime) I prefer the console, it's easier to get the buttons, and it just feels wrong on the computer.

I'd much rather have the real thing, because it's much better, plus it's portable unless you have a laptop. AND most emulators only run as well as your computer, so a laptop is out of the question.

It'll be great to have the console but since the emulator and the roms comes for free, maybe emulator is a good choice. Not only that, your capable of doing a lot using emulators like capturing pics (screenshot) from the game and so on. And one more thing, the keyboard is quite hard to use comparing to the gamepads on the console but just buy yourself a usb joystick and your good to go:)

I stick to consoles for playing games; frees up space on my computer that way.Best console? The Playstation 2. I thought it would be a mistake when I bought it, but it's been one good memory after another.

Console. Playing games on a keyboard irritates me.

depends on the game and the control scheme. if the controls were more suited to maping to a controller, ala Sonic generations, dark sector, games where the controls need to be easy to access, i'll tend to map them. other games that it doesnt matter, like bioshock, i'll go with whatever feels comfortable at the time.
