this game is said to be a re-imagening of lufia2: rise of the sinistals for snes.i really enjoyed lufia 2, but with this i even didn't bother to finish.reason: i liked lufia for its complex puzzles, though it really degenerated to some mindless hack and slay with some "tough" spots that are figured out within no time.same experience with tomb raider 1 and anniversary where it, for example, basically ended up degenerating two huge and incredibly complex levels down to two rather simple rooms...this leaves me with the question: is complexity more becoming an argument against games?

I was kinda disappointed with this one too even though I have not played any of the past Lufia games... The characters were seriously fleshed out though and they were all likable but I havent finished it. It got too boring due to how easy it was. Combat was kind of simple and the game encourages you to just cheat your way past stronger bosses.

I get a little sad about this too. Some old games had really strong puzzles, that made you want to hit your head on the wall sometimes. And it seems is a common thing nowadays to "tune down" the difficulty of remakes.I guess an exception to this is the FFIV remake, but they only kept the strong power of later monster, instead of adding some good puzzles in.I guess I can only say it's a shame.
