I want to play them all so in which order of IV,V,VI and IX should I play to get the most enjoyment out of it? Thanks.

What's great about the dragon quest series is they can be played at any order including dragon quest joker. Almost each has the same identical jrpg game mechanics (which a lot of games would try to copy and is the subject of anime, manga parodies) with slight differences. Still if it's the order, go with the IV first then work your way up to IX. You'll slightly notice the different improvements for each game especially when you reach IX.
