So, I have two PSPs, my 1001 and my 2001. My friend offered to trade me his original DS for my PSP 1001. Is this a good deal?

it depends, is your psp 1001 rooted? I know its easier to root a psp 1001 than a 2001. The original DS has a slot for gba games which is great, but remember the new 3DS is coming out too.

I don't know. Since you have 2 it should be an easy decision. I guess you've got both of them running some sort of GEN or CFW. You can always emulate a DS on a PC but it's never going to be the same as an original DS. And your friend seems like he wants the PSP. You may as well have 2 different handhelds, eh?

It sounds like a decent deal, especially since you already have 2 PSPs. However I'm sure the PSP is still more expensive than a DS these days (especially once the 3DS comes out). You might just want to wait for the 3DS to come out and buy a DS if you want it.

I did the exact same thing and i havent regretted it yet. The psp has way better graphics but the ds has more fun games
