This.Pokemon White is most likely going to sell less which means more people will want to trade from those who bought White. And as stated above catching rarer pokes beats fighting stronger in game trainers.From what I've seen white is "better" in that you can collect more Pokemon in White Forest which are not available in Black City (which primarily has stronger opponents to fight, but who cares about that). Theoretically speaking the unique Pokemon available in White also just seem to outperform the ones in Black... but that's just my analysis. In the end, just like with every other Pokemon series, pick the one you feel like more. Simple as that. All the starters are the same.
