good starting pokemon heartgold team?

I currently have machamp (hacks) cyndaquils evolution (forgot the name) haunter, fearow or spearow I forget, and ...charmeleon? I'd like to know how to make a good pokemon team, and are there any basic ones?GPs were deducted for this post, please read the rules! - tedsb16

a good starting pokemon would probably be mudkip/swampert due to water/ground type, high attack/ and large move list

well it all depends on your style do you want an easy normal or medium game cuz if you want an easy game id go with a mixture of grass and water cuz if you do then fire would be defeted easyly and so will nost things like rock and flying so if you want easy you should pick that and if you want a medium game i would go with the pokemon you have now but for a hard game use strictly fire and poisn or bug. and both of thoes are hard to lvl up and poisin or bug pokemon do the least amount of damage to the most pokemon and i hope this helped
