Everyone says Smash Bros. But there must be other good fighters and I'd like to hear them.I myself go for Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4. (Yes I imported this baby)So many characters. Overall great game to play against friends. Never been a hardcore naruto fan and don't like most games but this was an exception for me.

I preferred Bloody Roar: Primal Fury myself. Soul Calibur 2 was solid but didnt challenge (or interest) me as much as that baby did. While not a perfect game it is my favorite fighting game for the gamecube.

Gotcha Force; imagine Dragonball Budokai Tenkaichi with all kinds of different robots and loads of fun. It's not as known in the US and in Europe

Capcom vs SNK 2 & Soul Calibur II. In my most humble opinion, I always thought SSBM's genre was more like a "Battle Platformer" insyead of a fighting game. The Dragonball and Naruto games are also pretty fun.
