If i like the sound of the 'blerb' at the back of the game (the story) then i'd buy it. But then again if its too expensive then i'd wait until it gets cheaper before buying it.

If I'm interested in a game then I usually watch gameplay videos or LPs of it. That way I get a feel for the game and if I'll like it at all.

i was looking up the game "monster tale" for ds but since it isnt downloadable yet, i downloaded henry hatsworth because i heard its great fun, difficult, and very similar. is dgemu going to have monster tale available soon?so i guess my answer to your post is look it up and check reviews, play a game similar that was created by the same company.

Look at the reviews first and then i download in most chases

In my place, there is no place to rent games so to secure my money, i download games first and see if its my kind of game. This way it will save me the effort of buying the games that i like (civilization is quite far from my place :( ). Also, reading reviews and checking its rating helps a lot too.

just started monster tale yesterday. Comes off as being a little childish but is kind of addicting and fun. Has a similar feel to monster races if you have tried that.

It depends on the series, and/or price.Like, I bought "Hitman 2" for three bucks, used. I haven't played the series before then, and if it sucked, I could've just sold it to someone who would probably pay more than what I payed for it.Actually, I also bought a couple games for two bucks. That day, I got three games for seven bucks~!But, like for Silent Hill, I rented a game from that series first. It might have been Shattered Memories, but that was enough for me to buy a PS2 to play all of the other Silent Hill games. And now, for Silent Hill or Zelda, I would just buy the game right away, knowing what to expect, for the most part.

For me, it depends on the game. Like if it's a new Mario game, I generally only look at one trailer before I go buy it. Anything else, I usually look at all the information that I need and then download it if I can. If I like it, than I go buy it. Most times, though, I go with a gut feeling.

Depends. For a long time I have been a buy fan, just because I like keeping a game versus renting, but now that I can download... lol

If i'm unsure about a game, I always look for a review on youtube of it (preferablly by IGN or Gamespot)

I know it's bad but I don't bother buy it unless it's pretty damn goodI mean obviously the info on the back of the cases would say it's good and make it sound pretty good but what if you buy it and it turns out to be pretty crap :D waste of money which i could have used to buy a better gamesometimes i read the previews but isn't that just personal opinion??like for example my little sister loves high school musical and would rate it quite high whereas I personally don't like it and would give it a big fat zero :)so yeah, unless I know it's good and I try it out and it's good then it, if not then i'll not bother :P

might be a few days old, but I feel my opinion is important for this one: I only download the games I buy first. I consider this the most legit way. I just need extra game files...
