Not to open up a can of worms or anything, but the bible says that no man will know when the world is going to end (when He comes back for us). Therefore the world is not going to end in 2012. I believe in what God says, not other people who are trying to bring you to their level of fearing every little thing (no offense to anyone).

That is SO true!!!!!!! :( :( :( and besides, it's only because the mayans stopped making calenders that they made that assumption, because they all DIED! Plus some of those disasters that are happening, are man made disasters. So it's just a coincidence that they all happened around now.

No... it's that simple. There have many feelings that the world would end in past years (1984, 2000,2006, etc...) It is brought up just to bring about discussion and conversation within people. It separates the realists from the skeptics.

No, I don't think 2012 is the end. We still have a chance to save the environment like reducing(cutting down on the usage of plastic bags, e.g), reusing(scrap paper, e.g), and recycling(glass, cans, paper, e.g). And sometimes these predictions can be wrong.

No I don't. I just don't think we are in that bad of a state for some reason. There were disasters that befell humanity before this, and there will be more to follow. Just because this year is pretty prolific in the disaster department doesn't mean anything.
