Firefox. Because Chrome wasn't introduced in 2007 when I got my first laptop. I have used Chrome, but I much prefer Firefox. Why replace something when it's still good and I still love it?

Chrome's won in my case. In addition to being fast and secure, extensions and apps further enhance the user experience, allowing for adblocking and scriptblocking as well as games or personal accounting. It's a veritable Swiss Army knife. Firefox and Chrome ended up cloning the visual design for a good reason.

Either way, I'm the resident tech guy :milo: :shiftyninja:  ... speaking of which, I may need to update my guide some... but with Windows 8 just out and CIS 6 still in Beta testing... I think I'll delay that a little more. Not worth updating just for a few procedural changes and Advanced SystemCare 6 coming out with a portable version - which I may be forced to host :s cause the site doesn't have a direct link (you actually have to install ASC6 and then create the portable package from within the installed program). That and...I probably need to heavily review the defrag procedure since MyDefrag might as well be dead and I should look into migrating to Ultra Defrag. Yeah random semi-off-topic rant. Don't mind me.

Anyway, Chrome has my seal of approval!

P.S. Someone get the friggin formatting back on my guide yo!

I use Chrome. I used to prefer Firefox when I had constant access to the internet, but now it's rather sporadic, so Chrome suits me far more.

Firefox because I'd rather have an at least nominally benevolent organization mining all of my information than google. Also I tend to dislike heavy marketing like google's in general, so no thanks.

edit: Also noscript as earlier posters said.

Google Chrome can sometimes be a pain in the Posted Image, but I prefer it more than Firefox.

I prefer using Firefox due to a nasty malfunction of Chrome on my PC (inbound from the right without any possible solution for me).

Also, I like Firefox's Fullscreen Mode and the ability for me to use it on my mobile phone (even though it wastes a lot of space there).

I have my uses for both of them, Firefox for my more secure uses or other "things" due to adblock, no script and what not. I use Chrome for video sites and what not (not the dirty stuff due to Google browser ID and not wanting my browser to be displaying such things.)... but that's only because I have a 64 bit system and Firefox 64bit is not made (officially). and 32 bit flash on 64 bit system isn't as efficient for whatever reason. Anyway I keep a variety of browsers for multiple uses due to each system having their own rendering engine.

Though I avoid using Trident based browsers (Internet explorer/explioter). as for webkit based I prefer Midori (linux only I think) and srware Iron (no google browserID version of chrome). Gecko, Firefox only.

TLDR: I use firefox.

HAI.
I have used both Firefox and Chrome and consider both to be good browsers, and while both give a degree of personalization, security from viruses and spam, etc. but both also have their ups and downs.
For example:
IIRC Firefox doesn't use up much memory, hence more programs can be used alongside it, even Google Chrome. However, this makes Firefox somewhat slower than Chrome, but still a reliable browser nonetheless. Then again I haven't used Firefox since 2010 so I'm not 100% Sure.
Chrome on the other hand does use up a lot of memory. If you open up task Manager, you'll even see several processes that are all Google chrome. No this is not your extra tabs, this is true even if you have just one tab. The reason it has so much processes is because these separate processes are for Chrome's extensions and other stuff that keep it running quickly and loading websites quickly. That's what makes Chrome 20% faster.
Well then again, I haven't used Firefox since 2010 so I don't know what improvements Mozilla has done. :P

So I take it that you, Petian, use Chrome on a daily basis. I would suggest giving the newer versions of firefox a try. or you you could if you feel brave look up Mozilla's Aurora. It is the Version after nightly but before beta. My experience is that it is very fast for a Gecko Browser. Not to mention you get to try out the newest features before they go to beta. Not always stable... but they have a very functional browser, even on Android.

basically it's always fun to try new things and contribute by testing.

Chrome malfunctions a lot, especially with my comp :/ but Firefox always has the shockwave crashes/flash crashes and that pisses me off. Neither I feel is better than the other. But one thing is definitely for sure... They are WAAAAAY better than Internet Explorer.

Oh, another input from me, Firefox supports JavaScript much better, way better than the other webkit and msie browsers.
Not to mention the supremacy of the FF API (Rhino and SpiderMonkey) and the full support of CSS3 selectors, such as the text stroke option which is only available for FF atm.

I use Firefox because I like the icon I click on to open it more! And I'm far too lazy to change it. However, I've recently been enlightened to Chrome with AdBlock. Even the Youtube video ads are gone. ._.

I was a big firefox user for a bit. And then one day, my friend judged me and told me I should get chrome. So I did. They're both the same to me.

I prefer Firefox because of customizability, despite the memory hogging.

Chrome is fast and it eats up less memory, but compatible plug-ins are very limited and even the flash is outdated.

I used to be a supporter of Firefox, all the way. It was because it had the Gaia Online toolbar. But I now prefer Chrome. I don't go on Gaia anymore. But I also love Chrome for its sleek design. I think Firefox was much more clunky looking because the webpage window was smaller. I'm also really happy with the easy addition of apps (but I believe Firefox has that too).

Internet Explorer.

But no, actually, I use Chrome. I like the minimal-ness of the tabs and the search bar.

Firefox is kind of rigid for me. Chrome is best! I only found out you have access to apps when using Chrome! Kind of slow, hahahah. Anyone know of more functions on chrome?
