Hah, I don't recall it ever going strong. (When I read the title, I thought this was a brick topic)I never liked it so I really don't care whether it's dead or not. The only thing that got my ears open was when 6.20 HENs came out. Also,NGP :milo2:

No it was never successful, and I never did care about it either. But apparently after it was hacked it was pretty ok for some people. Still there was no way it was going to work in any case.

Probably won't have much development anymore though. Pretty much as good as dead now.

They probably tried to get some of the iphone etc. sales with it . Since that failed horribly it's no wonder that they stopped producing them

it was never popular in the first place honestly. it was really just in attempt on sonys part to limit the amount of hackers playing their games

I did consider buying the Go because I didn't have a PSP and just bummed off my brother but then I decided having no UMD slot sucks. I prefer my games physical and since I already have a few there's no sense in giving them up.

I didn't think a lot of people would get it anyways. The original psp is so much better because you don't have to download anything and use your credit card. A lot of people don't like to use there Credit Cards so that's why I Think the PSP go didn't go far.

same here i thought the psp go was just sony's attempt to make more money after psp lite took over from the psp but hopefully the new psp will go down well with everyone , i personally think it will :lmao:

It never really lived. It had a horrible launch too. Absents of a UMD drive and at that time the PSN store was some what bare.It came with a 16GB onboard flash drive but Memory Stick 2 was and still is expensive besides the fact you could not use your old MSPro Duo chips. If you ask me I would say it was a failed test of a handheld fully dependent on downloadable games and content. As we know the PSVita has a cartridge function allowing it to use non downloadable games but still use the now vast PSN library.

I might as well say the PSP Go is dead for sure. I say this because the left analog stick broke on mine. I can no longer play games that require the use of the Left Analog stick. Sony does not offer any spare parts for the PSP Go Left Analog Stick unless I pay a hefty $67.00. I am planning on getting me the PSVita!!

I dunno, living in a big city has made me appreciate portability more than ever, and the more compact form factor of the Go is a major plus in my opinion. It takes a little while to get used to, but it's still a great choice for those of us who want to use the additional 16 Gb for more vidya.

I generally don't even really support Sony (my brother does though), and I remember even saying when that was released that it would probably fail miserably. Looks like I was right! :P

How's the Go as an emulation device then? It's probably cheaper now that it's dead. Could I play all those ISOs DM's posting?

they should have never made it if it wasnt going to have the same capabilities and games as the regular psp. You cant even play kingdom hearts birth by sleep on it because they never released a digital version
