Nice question. I also don't like taking the pills as I know what it's doing to my liver and usually the pills won't kill the pain. Though it depends on the pain like if the head ache is also doing a combo with a tooth ache (My eyes were watering in pain), I needed the pills.

Painkillers, when I feel like one is coming on I take some and it doesn't last as long.

Oftentimes, pills tend to be the reason I had a headache in the first place. So forget the them. I don't fight pills with more pills.

I perfected this technique while under a rock.

I'm not really too fond of medicine now days specially with their "slight side effects" that pretty much kill you to cure one thing. :foldarms:So I usually let it run its course.Tho yet again, I'm not too sure if i've had a really strong headache yet, since there's no way to "compare" them with other people, but I usually just try to ignore them or sleep them away.

I don't like painkillers because they only treat the symptom. Something is causing your headache, be it stress, hunger or whatever, and the pill just hides the pain rather than dealing with the cause of the pain.

Usually, I try to sleep off a headache since the main reason a headache starts is because of a weakening in the immune system, so sleeping would probably help with strengthening the immune system. If that doesn't work, then I'd go get a pill.

I don't like the idea of taking pills for minor events such as a headache (call me old school if you like - I prefer letting nature run its course). A headache is also bearable, so I just let it happen until it ends like I do with colds (again, I prefer building up the immune system naturally rather than with pills, but they apparently work the same way regardless). Strange thing is that, since I discovered my talent for putting together jigsaw puzzles, all the headaches I have had thus far have disappeared when I focused on piecing it together for at least a good half hour. Migraines are a different story. They are painful, attack without warning, and they KILL. I cannot take the nausea. Of course, no matter how many pills I take the nausea never seems to ease up, so I've decided to not bother. Fortunately for me I am not one of those people that get migraine attacks with every shift in the atmospheric pressure. I do find it neat that they can basically predict a big storm (meaning I know when to dive for cover while everyone else soaks), but how painful it must be for them to get such a migraine attack. See, it's a superpower but a painful one at that. The only pill I'll take is the sinus relief. They work wonders. That was a chance discovery that I am happy to have made.

I would just let it run its course because I don't really like relying on medicine too much, and if the pain gets really bad then I might just take a cold shower to try to cool off.

well you could always do it like they did a LONG time ago cut a hole in your head and let the blood come out to relieve pressure

Haha, I'm sure they got a little more than relief.

I'm anti drugs! Well... Minus caffine, nicotine and maybe some other stuff... If your body gets used to taking a pill it becomes dependant, so when you're out of painkillers the headaches become worse.I say let it burn itself out unless it gets so bad that you would do anything to kill it.
