The 3 dogs entei, raikou, and suicune. Johto is the best.

my favorite trio is the gen 3 one...rayquaza kyogre and groudon just wrecked the elite 4 at lvl 100

Or Rayquaza, Groudon, and Kyogre or Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres., the orignal pokemons are the best

Well originally my favorite trio was the three birds, but then came the three legendary dogs. I mean let's face it, they were pretty cool. I didn't like the three "regi" Pokemon all that much, they were alright but nothing too special. The other three: Azelf, Uxie and Mesprite were kinda neat, or at least their back story was. I do, however, love the three genie legends. And, now even more since i learned about their new upcoming beast forms in B/W2!

Ive always been a fan of the original gen legendaries. Articuno is my fav overall, for power and just awesomeness, then moltres, again for looking cool and being strong, then zapdos to round out the trio!

It seems that the further away from the original they get the worse it is. Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres = great. Entei, Suicune, Raikou = good (though Ho-oh more than makes up for that). Later generations are somewhat bland.

never played pokemon much. mainly because tradingg to get their evolutions and the missing pokemon from your game was just too damn tiring and sad to say i did not have a lot of friends who actually played pokemon. but to get back on topic, the original legendary birds for me. flying types were good in the first generation. although i did prefer dodrio over the legendary birds haha

Birds - Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres - Articuno is my favourite of the Trio.
Cats/Dogs - Suicune, Raikou, Entei - Suicune is my favourite of this Trio. ^^
The other Trio Pokemon in all games are not my tastes...
