Sequel... nah, i don't think so, cause Advent is already The sequel, adding another would probably mess up ff7. That's what i think.

i dont think they would be able to make a sequel that would live up to ff7, which is my favorite game of all time, but if they remade it for the ps3, with the better graphics, it would be amazing.

I've wanted them to remake this game for the longest time, but I remember reading somewhere that it would take them a long time to do it, so they squashed that. But, I'm hoping they finally realize how much money they could make because most people I've met, or talked to about the FF series favor 7 over the others, and would definitely buy a remake.Heck, I'd buy the ps3 for the remake alone if they did it.As for a sequal, I don't know what they could do with it, as long as they don't half donkey it, I'm sure it'll be a hit.[Edit: Oh, I would only approve of the remake if they didn't butcher the existing story, and try and get it up to new content standards and such here in the states. You know, cleaner language, no cross dressing: That would make soooo many people mad.]

I would be opposed to a sequel, only because it wont live up to its expectations and such. I would love for them to redo it for the ps2 with better graphics, and maybe even voice acting.

I've said this before in other thread, there should be no FFVII remake. The first one was good enough for me. They need to focus on current games like Revanant Wings. Make that game the best it can be. Also FFXIV could be great if they spend all their time on it, instead of a stupid reamke.

well i think if you extend ff7's story to have a sequel, it'd kinda ruin the beauty of the original plot, and how its ending left players wanting more. there'd also be all the hype to live up to...

I don't know if y'all heard or not but FFVII is coming out for the ps3 as a remake. If they were to make a sequel it had better have a bad guy more dangerous, villainous , cold-hearted etc. than sephiroth (or they could just bring him back in some way like in advent children) or it will just down-right suck

I'd buy a sequel, especially if there were an enhanced remake of the original packed in for free.

For those of you looking for a remake of FF7, rejoice! After recieving constant e-mails and petitions from rabid fans Square replied to the people that they WILL remake FF7 for PS3, however it is unknown if they will go through with their word but it does look promising. As for a sequal, that's nearly guaranteed after DoC's 'secret' ending, which can be found through out the internet. If a sequal is made it will take place not after the original FF7 but after DoC*POSSIBLE SPOILER*With the possibility of a sequal a new enemy has been shown, the original one-winged angel, thought to be Sephiroth's prototype little is known other than his code name, 'G'. Apparently G was a 1st class soldier much like Sephiroth (codenamed 'S'), he too left Soldier and killed many of his former comrades in the process. Upon escaping Shinra sent a mysterious 1st class soldier after G, however he was never found. During the secret ending G refers to Weiss as his 'brother' and says they have much to do still before he, carrying Weiss, disappear much as Sephiroth did at the end of Advent Children. If G is in fact a prototype, why wasn't he part of the reunion? If he isn't a prototype how is he related to Sephiroth and Cloud? It has been speculated that he is in fact Sephiroth's twin brother (not identical) and as such is just as powerful as Sephiroth, and if that's true will there be a TRUE REUNION between the brothers? We can only wait and find out!

I say leave a great game alone, that why they have FF 13 now. Everyone knows the sequel never lives up the the first one.

being a FF-Addict, I can tell give you a list of various FF games that revolve around FF7. Here i go...- Final Fantasy 7 (PS3, not confirmed but their are techdemo movies clips are available, is only a remake)- FF: Crisis Core (PSP, about Zac in Soldier)- Dirge of Cerberus (PS2, about Vincent and his life)- FF: Before Crisis (Mobile Phone, little game invovling the Turks)- FF: Last Order (Movie, a movie about Crisis Core)Well there my two cents in this topic

Final Fantasy 7 is a great game, but what is there to make a sequal about? there's a movie that's the sequal already!

the game what really good and i find that 98% of the time that sequels just ruin everything, if they decided to make a sequel it ott to be pretty freggin' sweet.i think they should re-make FF7 with better graphics and everything, cinematics the whole package. don;t get me wrong the old one is classic but it would totally look better in a new version. :)

I think FF7 is an awesome game, but I think Square is at the limit trying to make more FF7 spinoffs. Instead of making a sequel, they should try to make their new games better. ^_^
