FF7

I heard that they have made a movie of FF7, but i can never find it, but i think they should keep the original characters and the sequel better be good.....Where can i see the movie from this game?

Upon first hearing of Fianl Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, I ran a google search and one of the first sites I entered (other than the official site) was a site that had an article of what was going on with the game's production. The part I found most interesting on that site was that it claimed that DoC was the third Final Fantasy VII spin-off. I found this exceedingly strange for I had not heard of a first or second spin-off... after running another google search, I came to hear that Advent Children is not just a DVD sequel to the original FFVII game, but also a a console game!!!!!!! 1UP.com explains itI suppose this would be the sequel everyone wants (though I think DoC is gonna be so awesome!)

Advent Children is supposed to be a PSP game as well is it not? Just what I heard a while ago. Anybody got any information on this?

Even though Vincent is the main character of Final Fantasy Dirge of Cerberus, I bet we would see glimpses of Cloud or some other FF character in the back,they have to. it would be the coolest cliche so far in FF

They are NOT doing a remake for PS3. All they have done is remade the opening sequence of FF7 showing the power of the PS3. This technical demo was shown at E3 2005 and was simply amazing. I cannot believe it was in REAL TIME! Because of the PS3's cell processors, they can cope with many more calculations per second, allowing the characters movements to be represented just as if it were a movie.Anyways, this is old news now. I just wish FF7 for PS3 was real

yea yea werd.. ff 7 is my fav too but you noe they do make a sequel kind of right? except its film version. the advent children thing is coming out with cloud and sephiroth being back

Advent Children is coming out on PSP, can't wait. I also can't wait until I can afford a PSP.They're making games based on it, like one were you play as Vincent (his backstory), but I doubt they'll come out a sequel for years if ever. They love torturing us like that.

They're being stupid by trying to make Vincent all badass or something in Dirge of the Cerberus. It doesn't fit Final Fantasy 7. It's going to ruin it.

It might be cool u never know. But if the game Dirge of Cerberus sucks the movie will make up for it, and so will the remake of FF7 on ps3.

THEY'RE NOT MAKING A REMAKE ON PS3!!!! Have you not read this!? It was just a technical demo showing the power of PS3. As much as I wish it were true, it isn't! And until you can show proof of Square-Enix changing their minds, and saying yes, it's not going to be done. Square-Enix have said they're not going to.

That would be awesome if they made a FF7 sequel...as long as they keep the same charecters, no adding weird ones. The charecters were awesome and they dont need some ridiculous new ones...Please make a FF7 sequel..

Did you not actually read the website?! It says that there will NOT, I repeat NOT be a remake of FF7 for PS3. The footage and pictures on the website are just from a technical demo to show what the PS3 could deliver. However, there WILL be another Final Fantasy game for PS3 and this is all guaranteed by the website you provided if you just took the time to look at the thing. I admit this is such a shame because the demo looked absolutely amazing and I can't believe they are not remaking it. It'd be awesome. Oh well, wonder how long we gotta wait til FFXIII (I presume for PS3) - 2010? tongue.gif

Great game, but now Square has decided to do try and grow the market that is FF7. This is where they stand now.Currently there are 5 sequal/prequal/spinoff games "confirmed" by Square.1.) FF7: Advent Children (Release Sept 13th/05 for DVD) [So far we only know of a UMD, but no date has been given] Advent Children is a Movie Sequal taking place two years after the events of FF7 took place. The main character is of course Cloud, and to my knowledge, all the main characters atleast make a cameo in the movie.2.)FF7: DoC +Dirge of Cerberus+ (Release Nov 14th/05 for PS2) DoC is another sequal, but in the form of a game for the PS2 and Vincent stars in the role of an investigator at the beginning, looking into a series of attacks on the city Midgar 1 year AFTER the events of Advent Children. DoC is a shooter at heart, but has RPG elements and a detailed storyline like other final fantasy are known for.3.)FF7: Before Crisis (Release 2006 [JAPAN ONLY so far] FF7:BC is a prequal made for the Foma i900 series of mobil phones. Don't actually remember what your post said. I just got annoyed at how many people kept saying that there was going to be an FF7 remake for PS3 after seeing the demo from that site. I was simply re-enforcing information given by the site, not by another user.As for the PSP thing, I got confused with people saying that it was coming out on PSP UMDs. Made me think it was a playable game. I'm guessing it's the same as the cartoons you can watch on GBA? (except of course a superb movie )

At the moment there isnt much information on a UMD release of Advent Children sept for the fact that they said there will eventually be one.

People like this should get a warning.As said 10 times before, the tech demo is just that, a tech demo, not a remake. and the there are two sequals. look at my post before, that'll tell you everything.for those of you who really really want a remade FF7 game, here is the possible scenario that could eventually play out. at the moment Square is producing their compilation FF7 series. consisting of 1 movie and 3 games. The last game to be release out of all them is Crisis Core for the PSP. The thing that could possibly happen, is come Crisis Core's release, Square will say that they will finish the compilation off with an actual remade FF7. Then, that'll be it. But thats just a scenario, and its possible it could happen, but right now, i wouldnt count on it.So for anybody posting after this, atleast read page 4 of this thread so you dont go do what hakui did.

Ok, now that a ton of information has flooded in from LA and E3 hasnt even started yet, i would like to confirm and change some of my post from earlier on.to start, Advent Children HAS been given a release date. It will be released Sept 13th here in North America, and Sept 14th over in Japan. Cant wait! DVD only so far.There has been a Tech release of the intro scene to FF7 for the PS3. Like i said, its the intro scene you see at the beginning of the game, but redone obviously under Ps3 specs. So with that said, i actually wouldnt be suprised if further down the road here we see a remake to the ever popular Final Fantasy 7!

Yea i know if they release it on PS3 it is going to look awsome and the game will improve so much. I would by a PS3 if it came out on it. Just because it is the greatest.

don't know if anyone else knows this or not but someone has made an unofficial sequel to FF7 for the RPGMaker2000 thingie. Its called Final Fantasy: Dark Cloud. The story takes place two years after the PSX version and cloud is out on his own and his "team mates" are searching the globe to find him so they can ask him why he left them.

I maybe... But they really should make a secuel of FF8... I don't know... It's like two real good games...

There is nothing sure about a FF7 sequel. Its not because that they made a tech demo that they will make the whole game. You shouldn't get your hopes up too soon.

I think they should just do a remake, not a sequal. A sequal of this great game with PS3 graphics....no FF fan would ever complain (well, cept for the ones who SOMEHOW hate FF7)
