I think zanzoken meant there is nothin sure about a remake, considering there are already two sequals up for release come quater 4 of this year. and you'd be suprised how many people i know dont care too much for FF7, but again, there is everybody else who loves it.

It would be a fanboy/girl dream. FFVII isn't my favorite but I'd be more then happy if they did a remake, seeing Vincents transformation in next next gen graphics would be the don.

A game based on Vincent? My dreams come true, Vincent is by far the coolest FF character ever.You know what? It doesn't matter whether they make a sequel or a remake or what. Loads of people (including me) are going to buy it because I'm a Square-Enix whore, and proud of it

They made a sequle to FF X and that's because if they made a sequle to VII everyone would be greatly dissapointed.

they have made a sequal...but it's a movie:FFVII Advent Children...comes out 15th September this year I think ^__^

They were thinking of remaking one of them (think it was FF7) for PS2 AGES ago, but because Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was such a huge flop. Lot of time and money wasted so they never remade 7.Thank god Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is the way it is. It's AMAZING! lol (yes, I have seen it - it rocks! woot!) lol. Definately gonna make Square-Enix an aweful lot of money.

They got that game with vincent (dirge of cerberus) then they got the movie (advent children) then they got that thing before the crisis which is suppose to eb b4 the war that seph was in.... then i think its sometin else before the main story... i think that there should be a sequel game too ... intstead of a movie ( i thought it was a game at first lol) that would answer my prayers.

Even if they just remade FF7 I'd buy it. They would be smart to do it. That's a huge moneymaker just sitting there waiting for Square Enix to release it.

I was going to say that Advent Children was the sequel...Is it just me, or is that demo showing the PS3's abilities featuring the opening scene of FFVII just tear inducing, especially when you've been told that is all it will be? A demo of an improved version of one of the greatest experiences of all time...T_T

they have about 2 game and 1 movie in sequel going right now, dirge of ceberus feturing vincent valentine , and before crisis well feturing every turk and seph zack and cloud , the movie advent children is about cloud after

They made a sequel for FF10. First sequel sequel for a final fantasy game. I don't see why they don't make a real sequel for FF7. Dirge of Cerberus really doesn't count, I think that is a first person shooter.

i know for sure they are remaking final fantasy 7 for either the ps2 or ps3 because i have seen previews, screenshots and clips of it. but i agree they need a sequel. the sequel though is kinda the movie which i have seen and it is awesome. i wanted to cry when i first watched it.

they completed making ff7 advent children and thats it... ff7 is complete... now japanese fans are looking forward to ffxii (final fantasy 12) i also wonder if it is going to be a good game or notyes they are remaking ff7 on ps3... you guys must have seen the technical demo.... it showed midgar and then aeris doing something with the flowers and finaly at the end of the preview a train comes in and guess who jumps out... that's right cloud...

i think they should stick with remaking the original because if they actually do make a sequel, im not sure if the story will be just as good.however, i cant wait until before crisis (or was it crisis core?) comes out for the psp
