Well, I'm glad to know that serial connections are still alive and well in the world of ROM-dumping. It'd be interesting to see or hear that Legacy was the backing force behind a real flashcart. Otherwise, can anyone identify the hardware (other than the 3DS) in that photo?

Oh wow. Congrats to Legacy for being the ones to do it. Time to update the pinned thread! And so it begins, I guess. Don't expect flashcarts to be coming out soon, though, much less emulators. They (flashcart makers) still need to hack 3DS mode and from there create a proper working 3DS mode cart, although they will have more incentive to do it now I suppose. Also it's still done with a custom dumper. Which is what you start with, of course, but. They might come up with public dumping tools, or it might become like DSi, where only a few groups have the expertise to dump the ROMs properly. From the tone of the NFOs it's clear that LGC thinks the latter will be the case.As for emulators don't even think about it. Even with the ROM they will probably take years to figure out how to emulate it and code it and test it and come up with something playable. From scratch. There's a third ROM released, by the way: LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. This one's 512 MB, while the rest are 256 MB. All pretty small for 3DS ROMs, as noted by shadowman above. And yes, read and follow the stuff above in red. Stupid questions will get deducted at sight. The explanations to all your questions are already here, and here. Thanks for not asking.Edit: Nevermind, added it into the first post.

I just wanted to say that even if the dumping techniques weren't kept secret, they look so obfuscated that I doubt most would figure it out anyway. Anyway, the roms are heavily encrypted so I wouldn't expect them to be usable for a good while. Also, there is no way to verify that those are even good dumps at all.
