On tests, since I only have limited time, I switch to cursive since it saves time writing because you don't have to lift up your pencil as often. But my cursive letters are hard to distinguish and they're difficult to read, so the teacher usually has to call me in so I can tell them what I wrote

But if it's a pop quiz and the teacher is being a jerk, I'll write sloppy on purpose, just to give them a hard time ;P

Messy = speed. Usually, everyone writes nicely at first, and when they're short of time, they just scribble whats's left of their test. hahahaha isnt it funy to be the teacher, you get to see these strange works

Inconsistency, i mean. LOL

Depends on how far I've got the answer already in my head.

If I am thinking about it while writing, I write a lot slower and therefore more neatly, but if I already got the whole story in my mind I tend to write as fast as possible which makes it a bit more messy.

Luckily my handwriting isn't that bad so even if I write very fast it's still legible. More or less.

I have terrible handwriting, so scruffy is unfortunately the only option. It drives my teachers insane.

I always write sloppy, it is a miracle all my teachers can read it.  They grade me right, too!

Neat, so I can get points on the test.

neat handwriting no matter what. since my teacher would mark it wrong if she wasn't able to read, even if the answer is actually correct.

I'm a sloppy writer no matter what I do, but when it comes to tests, I generally slow down my writing pace a little. Then when I reread, some time is actually spent on trying to fix some of my 's' and 'r'.

I can't even force myself to write scruffy, every word, every line, always neats.
