What are your opinions on ebooks and ereaders like the nook and kindle? How's the borrowing or lend a book to friend feature? I'm thinking of buying one but I remember a story a while back where amazon went in and deleted some books with the users permission. That has keep me off buying one but the new kindle looks neat. Is there a way to turn off the wireless feature?

Ummm... I bought the old kindle (with keyboard), and its pretty good. However, I do wish it was in touch. And yeah, you can turn off wireless, but its rare amazon will delete books off your kindle.I don't know much about the nook.

I've never used one before but I think it might be interesting to try. One of my friends uses it a lot during train trips and I think it would be cool to have one.It might even inspire me to read books more often!

Same here, I also prefer an actual book over ebooks. I work on a computer all day so it's nice to get away from the screen sometimes.

I like real books, myself, though those are cheaper.

I concur with what seems to be the general concensus of this thread: I prefer a physical copy of the book to an e-reader. Call me old-fashioned, but something about cracking open a book and taking some time to just read is really enjoyable... and comforting.

I have a kindle and I love it. I read a lot and have found this so easy and cheaper. I very rarely buy a book now. The next book I know I will buy is in Nov 2012 the last of the wheel of time books I will have them all then. I will be said it is over but glad too as if Sanderson did not finish the series of it would of been a real shame. Shame is mild compared to what I would like to say but one must mind ones language XD

Dont have one but it seem to shutting a lot of book stores down. I like the old fashion way getting the book instead of using a ereader. Having the real thing just makes me feel safer incase something happens to the ereader like spill something on it and blow a circuit, what why you do then? I am not sure if they are water proof or not but i go with the old times getting the book instead.
