This topic is basically about what the title says. I thought the 3DS was awesome when I first got it. I got Super Street Fighter 4 3D Edition and the Legend of Zelda. They were both amazing games, but eventually, I got bored of playing them and had nothing else to do on the system. At launch, there was barely any games and my 3DS got put in the closet. I just wish Nintendo cared more about their online experiences. I just can not stand the 3DS shop because they barely update it with worthwhile games. Now my perspective is changing about it a bit though because of the Mario games that just came out and Kid Icarus is just around the corner. In the long run, I bet the system will be great, but this year was really a downer for it to me.

I thought it was great at first too. After a while it got boring. But now that I know my favorite games might be appearing soon, I'm pretty enthusiastic, and anxious.

I've only seen a friend's, and it hurt my head after looking at it for a minute or two.

Im actually amazed at how I have soooo much variety on the 3DS... and yet, I'm not as compelled to play it as I was for playing DS around the time lite version came out. There is a short but nice library, with remakes yeah, but still pretty good, mario kart... cave story, mario 3d land... a bunch of virtual console games (GB AND the ambassadors) not to mention I now play a big bunch of ds games that got left behind... so many things to play! And still... Maybe its age.3DS is good, but not that much to look at. Im more impressed by the variety I just descrbed and how fresh the online captabilities feel.

I'm still unimpressed by the game library available...While i won't discard remakes, they can be very fun games how many original games does it really have? It's been out nearly a year and while there are some nice games like kid icarus (coming up) it just doesn't seem there are enough games now or even coming up to warrant buying a 3DS over a DSi with a bunch of games. The GBA games it can run? I still have a nintendo SP for those...I hope it's like the nintendo DS...dissapointing first year but gets alot better after that.

I think it's pretty cool, even if a bit gimmicky. I myself would by the PS Vita over it, though, unless a The World Ends With You 2 is announced for the 3DS. Hell, I might buy one anyway just for KH: Dream Drop Distance.

Not a big fan of having to keep at just the right distance and angle to get the 3D effect... too much effort for a handheld.

The year it was released was a huge disappointment for me, especially since I bought one at launch. Recently, though, they've been coming out with some fun, and free applications, such as Swapnote, that I've really been enjoying with my friends. However, I'm still waiting on actual games, especially KH: Dream Drop Distance, because in the end, I can only stand to be left in the dust by Japanese kids in Mario Kart 7 so many times.

Personally it's too big :(I like a system that fits in my hands. I know it can fit, but it's the size of a PSP, if not bigger. I will say that they have produced a great deal of new and interesting games in such a short period of time though. I'm not completely sure how i feel about the 3D part of it, I've never really been all that interested in anything that's 3D. Also it's a little more expensive for my taste. My friend has a light blue 3DS. He wants me to get one...but i keep saying idk..."maybe", "eventually" or "someday".

My reason for wanting a 3DS was because of Megaman Legends 3, LoZ: OoT 3D and other games soon to come. After Legends 3 got scrapped I was re-thinking if I wanted one. But after having one for a month or so, I like it. Even though there isn't much from it, the e-shop has things that I'm looking forward to and some games I'm looking forward to will make me play my 3DS alot more, so overall, I like it

At first i was against 3D stuff, but i got one for Christmas. I cant play games in 3D, its far to hard to focus on playing, with the 3D effects on. What is with Nintendo video!? Why cant they just make a YouTube app it let us download flash, so we can watch videos online! Nintendo video is 4 crappy videos that rarely change....3D is only good for videos and pictures! Not gaming!

*sigh* I suppose my opinion remains unchanged. However, I've recently been looking into each new 3DS game. For the most part, now it's just a matter of cost for me. The 3DS system is still quite large for the term "handheld". I'm still unclear how the 3D part of games work though. I am really disappointed that there isn't a slot for GBA games anymore.

It sounds cool, but I believe that the 3D feature will only work when you look at it from a fixed position. Having the remain in an unchanging position kind of eliminates the purpose of having a handheld console.
