Whats good, as most people have since 11/11/11, I've been playing Skyrim. Before Skyrim I played Oblivion and enjoyed it, Skyrim was better for me however. I never played Morrowind though. I heard it was great game from many people but I'm wondering if it is just because of nostalgia for a classic game or is it really a great game that can to this day still be fun

To be perfectly honest, Morrowind holds its own as far as games go. There are spells, like levitate for instance, that you CAN NOT acquire in Oblivion or Skyrim but are exclusive to Morrowind alone. The way the map used gridsquares to pinpoint locations was genius and the story was compelling. And there were almost no limitations whatsoever concerning enchantments; I could easily boost, say, my athletics skill to 100 on each piece of equipment I enchanted and leap from city to city, shore to shore (there is actually a set of scrolls that allow this!). Sure, Morrowind set the basis for Oblivion and Skyrim, but it is completely different in its own right, which makes it fun to play with still.

timeless, while oblivion and skyrim retain the open-world 'do whatever you want' feel, morrowind is just... bigger.the jumping, the wider variety of skills, and the ability to levitate and make your own spells. (oblivion's spell creation was not up-to-par, and skyrim lacked one altogether) its just awesome XD
