Oh, and "arrow in the knee" is just Bethesda's way of poking fun at itself for this being their first game where there's no greives, which is knee and leg armor.

Morrowind > Skyrim.
in certain ways i agree with you, mostly cuz morrowind seemed larger with alot more content, but skyrim has much better flow and obviously looks much better to boot

I bought Skyrim the day it came out and played it nearly nonstop for a month in my spare time. I didn't even have any serious build to my character as it was my first all i did was train everything and take the cool looking perks lol. I ended up selling it several months ago and it was one of the biggest mistakes ever, but i bought the game again last week and haven't stopped playing it
Over the course of a week I built three different characters, and I honestly love the game, its one of the best rpgs i've ever played, has a lot of replayability, and along with all of the new dlcs, its a very interesting game to play! ![]()

Skyrim vanilla is quite fun to play, however the expansions released untill now are lackluster and bland, I loved playing Oblivion and it's expansions which to me had a lot more effort put into it. Now a fun point of Skyrim is of course it's theme song
aside from that i love the skills and some are a bit harder to level wich makes them more rewarding to level

Skyrim is definitely up there on the list of great RPGs, but I don't think it is the best. It has everything, but I found Oblivion to be better environment wise. Everyone in Skyrim was way too depressing. While it is understandable why, I made the game depressing to play. But it was also because the characters felt very similar. The colorful characters of Oblivion was an enjoyable part. Like the Skooma addicts that you can steal from, unless you steal their skooma. Or the people who are happy on the outside, but are actually evil or crazy if you check their basements.
The one flaw that keeps Skyrim and Oblivion from being my absolute favorite is how lonely all the dungeons are. The main character is always all alone. What makes it worse is the repetitive dungeons (it's not as bad as I make it out to be though). I guess there is a minor improvement in Skyrim, because I employed Cicero. His comments are usually appreciated (but there aren't enough phrases to keep my entertained).

I'm a new fan of the Elder Scrolls series (as in, just got Oblivion this past Christmas), but I enjoy Skyrim quite a bit. It's chock full of many interesting characters, from snarky Lydia to off-the-wall-insane Sheogorath (one thing I miss about Oblivion: the Shivering Isles!), and of course, the graphics are gorgeous.
My only complaint is that it kinda sorta overheated my last computer from overexertion.
Also, I love reading the first few posts of this thread and seeing people actually laughing at the arrow in the knee thing, considering it just makes people mad nowadays.

Skyrim is one of the better RPG's out there. though the best way i have found to level up is through the smithing branch by crafting iron daggers then selling them for a profit to which you can craft more iron daggers, i got to level 100 smithing within two days with this method.

CURRENTLY it's one of the best ones. At the time, I had way more fun with FF7-9.
Also I'd say that Fallout 3 beats Skyrim hands down.

I got the game for PS3 from my friend and it was a good game and looks like there is a lot to do in it. i just dont have the time to try and finish it but the quests that i did and part of the story that i saw looked good, but if i had a choice i think i would rather play a FF game.
