Wow, lots of specifics about what you want from this post...!

First gen, definitely!  I'm old school.

Faves were always the obvious ones - Pikachu, the final evs of the first three at Prof Oak's lab, Mewtwo...

I was always partial to G/S.  Between the Day/Night cycle that actually made me get up in the morning (something I really feel was lost in future generations, by the way), the openness of the world, the increase in number of pokemon (but still manageable), the addition of Dark and Steel, and the roaming Legendaries, it was awesome.  I don't know why, but somehow after that the series seemed to lose steam during the jump to GBA.  I know they're good games and all, but they feel wrong.

Plus, the lack of back-compatibility really bothered me.  I had kept my Blastoise from Pokemon Red, to Gold and then Silver - he never got transferred into my Crystal game, because that was started well after (and really why bother?  Crystal was the beginning of the split for me).  There was something good and pure and clean in keeping my Blastoise, and (later) my Totodile.  Losing that opportunity hurt, badly.  And then, I thought, "Okay!  I'll do FR/LG, and I'll resurrect my Squirtle that way!" - but... again, something was off.

I lost the magic after G/S.

They just hit all the good notes in that game for me. It was bigger, the pokemon looked like their anime counterparts just look at this atrocious sprite (kudos to anybody actually recognizing this one):

Ivysaur?

And I don't really have a generation I like. Played 1, 2 and 3, started 4 and 5 but never finished (7 and 1 badge respectively), actually completed 6 when it came out.

I do pull my team heavily from Gens 2 and 3 when they're available. But I don't have anything against the other gens.

My most favourite gen of pokemon is the gen five.In gen five i like B/W 2 much more than that of B/W and their gameplay is way better than diamond and pearl. But Platinum is my second best favourite after B/W 2.

I can't really say my favorite generation of pokemon. I like them all and get confused as to which is which, but i am most familiar with gen 4-6 because i grew up with those. I just like all the pokemon gens.

I prefer the most recent generation for X and Y due to the high number of pokemon available. When it comes to the pokemon though, I like Raichu because I train mine to be dangerous to a lot of different pokemon Surfing Raichu is a pretty cool trick.
