The point is to let everyone download a little bit.
If it didn't exist, Everyone would download a lot at the same time, The server load would be immense, Downloads would hang, The site wouldn't load and you won't get any ROMs.
Lemme tell you a story, I roamed the interwebz in search of ROMs. Zophars had a brilliant layout but only old ROMs, Any other site had so many ads that you'd get lost in some random chick's pants.
Then i came upon a nice clean site that let you download with no points system or ads.
I'd check everyday but would get the message "Sorry, Free downloads today are over. Please register a premium account and pay to pirate ROMs. Thanks ". So that was dead too.
Then i came here and i saw the DP system that controlled and limited my downloads as the promise of unlimited downloads.
And i've come here every day since
It may sound crazy but within a few months a lot of the forum comers advance enough to download all that they need.
