Floyd5642 is right the game doesnt give enough xp to have the pokemon reach 100 (exept if your a noob and only use one poke instead of splitting the xp 5 ways.
(dont know why above is darker)
anyways, the vba/no$gba's built in code generator fixed that lol

I never had the patience to get a pokemon to level 100. I think the highest I got was like an 82 Blazekin.

My first Level 100 was Blastoise in the original blue version. He really put the team on his back since he was the only pokemon I used next to Pidgeot who was a close second. Since he was my main choice it took me forever to beat the Elite Four, but after losing so many times he got really strong and destroyed every one. I was 8 so I really didn't know any better. Now I just abuse type advantages and manage to beat the Elite Four at much lower levels.

Mine has to be charizard although it might have been Dragonite. Back in red it was such a long time ago I don't really know.

The first ever level 100 Pokemon that I had raised was a Blastoise in Pokemon Blue that was nicknamed Tommy after one of my friends at the time. Though, getting up to that level was achieved through multiple runs through the Elite Four and constantly using Blastiose when ever possible. Eventually, I was able to take all of them down with just Tommy by himself and would put untrained and extremely weak pokemon into the hall of fame for my own amusement.

That's not a boob strategy its just another strategy. I don't use it but I like to call.it an ace strategy. First lvl 100? I think that my first ever lvl 100 pokemon was a Thyphlosion from theold gb gold, not sure cause it happened like 12 ro 15 years ago XP

A Charizard from FireRed since when I first started I did not understand why I need another pokemon so I went through nearly the entire game with only using Charizard and randomly caught pokemon for HM usage.

Mine was Charzard too, but from the original Red version. Played that game like it was the only game I had. (It actually was the only game I had)

Aegislash. Yes I know it's a bit sad to play Pokemon for all these years and only just now get a lv. 100, but I wasn't as hardcore with the games before X and Y.

i think that the first pokemon you get (aka starter) is probably the first level 100 you would get by leveling up on your own

Back in Red my first level 100 was Missingno. after I learned about it from a friend. It was hilarious.

Red: Charizard
Blue: Bulbasaur
Yellow: Pikachu (Funnily enough)
Gold: Typhlosion
Silver: Don't think I ever got one
Ruby/Saphire/Emerald: Never beat these.
Diamond/Pearl/Platinum: Never played
SoulSilver: Scyther
