I am using Wood and I managed to get cheats by disabling resets and cheats globally and then enabling cheats on the game itself. Also, I had to use the rcce to find the game's new ID and then copy-paste cheats from the original database.

(sorry, I'm not familiar enough with Wood to help with this)

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong though, but the ROMs are not working on my flashcard. Here are my specs:
Nintendo DSi (1.4.4E)
R4i 3DS Gold (Wood 1.5 downloaded from r4ids.cn)
Sandisk 2GB Micro SD Card (Formatted to FAT)
Settings:
In-game reset - Off
Cheat codes - Off
Save size - 512k
I freshly formatted my Micro SD card, copied the Wood and ROM files on, but when I try to play the ROMs, I get the "loading" screen, the words turn red, then it freezes.
I have tested both the clean Japanese ROM and T-Eng 2.3 ROM of Pocket Monsters Black 2, and both have this same problem.
Could someone help me please?
[EDIT]
I switched to my 16GB Micro SD card, and everything works fine now. I think something was wrong with my 2GB Micro SD card.
The game still doesn't seem to want to save though. Always getting a "the save file will be erased due to corruption or damage" error every time I turn off and restart the game.
Thanks again for the information everyone

I don't have an r4i to try to reproduce the issue with the save file corruption.
I might suggest you ask one of the owners of an R4 here, or I can try to help to lookup if anyone else is having a same issue.
Ah okay, thanks ^_^
I read in the first post that the R4i Gold needs further testing. May I help with posting tests and results for flashcards and emulators?
Here are my current outcomes:
Flashcards
Emulators
(this post will be edited to include any new results or ROMs I find/test)

The direct links for the roms and patches are all in the first post of this topic, actually! Here they are anyways, for your convenience:i want to direct link...
The pre-patched roms are both AP and Translation patched. If you download them, they will already have been translated and AP-patched.What you mean pre patched? not ap patched or...
It's not likely to happen.btw will the save file be corrupted half way? im scared lol..
Thanks so much for your contributions nekomichi! A "neg" has been given for your efforts. Keep up the good work! The R4i Gold 3DS' Wood firmware has been updated. When I install this update, I'll try the ROM files again and post updated results.
Hopefully the save file issue will be fixed.

Hardware:
Nintendo DSi (1.4.4E)
R4i 3DS Gold (r4ids.cn)
Sandisk 16GB Micro SD Card (FAT32 format)
Software:
Wood R4i 1.51 (r4ids.cn released 08/21/2012)
Flash Card Settings:
In-game reset - Off
AR cheats - Off
Save format - .sav
All other settings default
ROM:
Pocket Monsters Black 2 T-Eng 2.3
Progress Point - Played up until the end of the first Pokémon Center tutorial with Bianca.
- The ROM was recognised on the Micro SD card and booted up with no problem, although it takes slightly longer to boot up than other ROMs.
- The title sequence animations were fully working. No graphical or sound glitches.
- Gameplay itself has no errors. Graphics display properly, no missing audio.
- No freezes during Pokémon Battles, after-battle exp is saved and not lost.
- Game saves work with no problem. This has been fixed from the previous version of Wood R4.
Problems:
- Some minor grammar and spelling errors in dialogue.
- Some random line breaks in dialogue.
- Random characters early in the game still display Japanese dialogue (this is to be expected from an unfinished translation project).
In-game settings:
Pokémon names display in Japanese
Fast text speed
Player character's name is in Japanese hiragana
Rival character's name is in English
All other settings are default

Enjoy the warning for violating the ToC, if you want to stay and want the warning removed the PM me after you have changed your email address to a LEGIT one ....I made up a username, tracked down a disposable E-Mail generator, solved a math problem AND a captcha, then clicked on a link only to find that I need 168.3 more DP points. F*** *clicks depositfiles link*

Try not to use disposable emails for your account, thoughh! Best to switch to a conventional one. It raises alarm bells when we check for duplicate accounts, because some people use them to obscure the fact that they've been registering more than one account to cheat the system. Besides, it probably makes it easier to use the 'Forgot Password' function, tooo!
Edit: Ahh Channel got to that already.
