Here is my question, can i put the nds emulator on pc into sleep mode?

I'm facing a game problem and it said that i need to put the nds into sleep to solve it,
i try to put my windows into stand by status but it didn't work.
Is it any solution for me to put my nds emulator into sleep?

P.S. the game i played is joshua day 7 in twewy, i need to erase the laziest pig

Config menu->Control config-> LID ( set a key of your choice. It doesn't have one by default )
Once you've done that, Load up the game and try it.

that solution is for the desmume 0.9.2 and higher emulator. as for putting no$gba into sleep mode I think minimizing the program might do it, but I'm not sure it might not be possible with this emulator.
