I recently got back into the DS scene, should I be thinking about upgrading what I have or is it still useful? Im a stiffler for RPG games on the NDS, brings back some good memories. Will it still run the new roms?

Any advice is welcome and appreciated

The menu for the DSOne is still being updated regularly. So long as you download and use the latest versions, it should still be able to run the latest ROMs. :)

Wow sweet thats great! Now I just got to find the bloomin' thing! Gave a loan of it to a friend who says he can't find it but I'm gonna give him a week or so to see if it shows up...... I MAY decide to purchase a newer one, is it still one of the top flash cards for a regular DS? or are there better ones available now?

If you are looking for a cheap but reliable model, the acekard 2i is still going strong. If your budget is a little bigger, you can get a Supercard DSTWO, which has all the features a DS flashcart can wish for (GBA and SNES Emulation, real-time save, the works). Either way, you should prob not buy a Supercard SDHC if you're getting a brand-new flashcart. :)

(flashcart models, prices, and online retailers can be obtained and compared here: http://shoptemp.net/)

My fiancée is still using a Supercard DS One, and she's currently running Pocket Monster White 2 without problems.
That card will not work on a 3DS unfortunately if you ever plan on getting one...

Molh's suggestion is pretty much what I would suggest also.
I personally own a DSTWO, and boy I can tell you: That's a pretty darn good flash cart.

I'm stuck with emulators for now as I still haven't gotten mine back yet....... and if I do end up getting a new one it'll certainly be the DSTWO, thought the GBA and SNES emulations would probably be a waste on me!

Those are 2 good consoles. Why would they be a waste of time?

Not saying they're a waste of time, I mean that the fact that the flashcart can do this is wasted on me! I've never emulated SNES games, even though Ive great memories of the old school donkey kongs/mario karts and mortal kombats. Just never got around to it! And well I've had my days of emulating GBA games, and only very few hold replay value for me. And since Ive been gone from the emulation scene for quite some time I figure I should play some new games not old ones :)
