I knew what it was so I stored my Pokémons swiftly and spread it around my Pokémon.
I, the sun ov man / The offspring ov the stellar race / My halo: fallen and crushed upon the earth, that I may bring balance to this world

I got one during my Pokemon Emerald Randomizer run through the game didn't even realize it until it affected almost half of all my pokemon. Also not sure if it was there before my eevee evolved into a Umbreon. I think I still even have the picture somewhere....

I have to admit, I've never heard of the pokerus infection... could somebody explain what it is? I'm pretty intrigued here, haha.

Have you heard of EVs? These are Effort Values, which affect a Pokemon's stat growth. Different Pokemon give different EVs when defeated in battle, and level grinding on a certain species of Pokemon often results in your Pokemon's stat growth in a certain area becoming much better than if you just progressed normally and fought whatever came your way. Pokerus is a harmless infection that actually doubles the rate at which you gain these EVs, allowing your Pokemon's stat growth to improve faster. For those who grind EVs for optimized Pokemon, infecting their desired Pokemon with Pokerus will halve the number of battles they need to max out their Pokemon's EVs.
Pokerus will spread throughout your active Pokemon party, but after some time the Pokemon will become cured of Pokerus. Don't worry, they still gain the benefits from the infection and will continue to receive doubled EVs from battles. Storing a Pokemon that has yet to be cured of Pokerus in a PC will suspend its Pokerus status, allowing you to take it out and continue infecting other Pokemon you acquire even months or years later. Getting Pokerus is incredibly rare (even rarer than a Shiny!), but fortunately you will be notified the first time you acquire an infectee when you return to the Pokemon centre to heal. Treasure it.

That is a pretty good explanation on what pokerus is. For me I tend to get pokerus in every game I have at one of m playthroughs.

you can only get it by battling wild pokemon, i think. And it only lasts for a week
