All of my other games work fine without having any bios or firmware files but I did try downloading a complete package of 2.6a that came with all of that and the zoomer. I had the same issues I'm having now except that when opening it with the zoomer, instead of getting the "Memory messed up" error, it just gave me the "This program has encountered a serious error and must be closed" window.
Maybe I'm just not meant to play this game? Sounds like the only explanation to me haha. Either that or B&W2 are the only games that refuse to run on a virtual OS...though that wouldn't make much sense either as the emulator works perfectly fine with any other game I play.
I'm going to try the download from the thread that was linked. It looks identical to the other full package I found elsewhere but it's worth a shot. I appreciate the help, we all know emulation has it's flaws unfortunately.
Edit: Aaaand, no dice. Screw it, I'll just wait until I can get an R4 or feel like adding to the thousands of dollars I've already spent on this franchise...well actually I shouldn't say "I've spent", more like my parents back when the series first started haha
Do exactly as I say.
1. Download this: http://www.mediafire...d8yyz13obyndha2
2. Extract it.
3. Run No$Zoomer located in the folder that you should have extracted.
4. Select your rom.
5. Press OPTIONS and go to No$gba SETTINGS.
6. In EMULATION window, press the drop box under RESET/STARTUP ENTRYPOINT Choose START CARTRIDGE DIRECTLY.
7. Under NDS CARTRIDGE BACKUP MEDIA, choose FLASH 512byte.
8. Press OK.
9. Press OPTIONS and press SAVE No$gba SETTINGS.
10. Press OK.
11. Press OTHER, and then press CHEAT.
12. Input the Action Replay Code according to which game you want to play. (Codes below)
13. Click RAW and mark as Action Replay, press OK.
14. Press OTHER and choose EXTRA.
15. Turn on EX0 and EX5.
16. Press FILE and choose RESET.
Now you can play.
(Note) Once you are into the game play, you can double the speed of the emulator by disabling EX5.
Codes (Click Show)
Alternatively you can try this:
Nevermind i found out the solution... Download No$gba v2.6 (NOT 2.6a) and its fully working with /without no$zoomer (not even have to do that ex5) and not crashing till now
nogba v2.6 ;- http://nocash.emubas...de/no$gba-w.zip

So basically one would be just the roms, the other would be the complete package. If I get the okay for this I'll be uploading them to mediafire.
Also, I have to say, if you like the games buy them. I do
I myself have a copy of Pokemon Black 2.

first of all... great forum and thanks for all the help with the game
but i'm having some troubles getting on with the game on No$Zoomer, White 2
believe me I've tried A LOT of options and possibilities but I cant get into the pokemons Summary Menu... it freezez in a black screen along with the music and doesnt go on no matter how long i'd wait... concerning the rest, the game goes well and all
i followed all the steps described for No$Zoomer/No$GBA all these 8 pages
and I've seen people with similar troubles but somehow they managed to bypass them it seems
In short... the game goes well until I try to go to the pokemons Summary, it freezez
I'm assuming it might be because of the settings for Emulation, not sure though
any advise would be welcome... thanks in advance)

This time i'm using r4i gold 3ds when i try and play the game it says load rom errcode=-4. also i use a 2gb sandisk microsd, i dont know how to know tha class thingy
That's a piracy error code. That is firmware problems, not patching issues.
And thanks for the update on r4i-sdhc. It was a tad tedious having to start rom > open up TTMenu > scroll down > Start game.

Do exactly as I say.
Step 4 results in this. Same problem as usual

Like I said, I'm doing everything correctly, my settings are correct, I play a lot of GBA and DS games using nocash and everything works fine, except for this game -_-
I'm about to try mr.chya's latest suggestion though.
Could Ubuntu/Wine be the cause of all this despite the fact that any other game I try to play has no problems?
Edit: LOL @ my bookmarks. Better than embarrassing porn though, right? hahah
Edit #2: the zoomer ini file was correct the whole time.

The only section not visible to people without an account is the Spam Center. I would recommend just making a thread there and linking to it from this one.If an admin makes this thread so that only registered members can see it then I'll post a link to an upload with both Black Version and White Version 2 with a password and another link to an upload with everything you need to play them on No$gba with all the settings already set up and both roms included.
So basically one would be just the roms, the other would be the complete package. If I get the okay for this I'll be uploading them to mediafire.
Also, I have to say, if you like the games buy them. I don't support pirating.
I myself have a copy of Pokemon Black 2.
Also, I bought both Black 2 and White 2 with the collector edition of the guide. Yay me for supporting?
Also, in the topic of Wine...
I'm not quite sure that No$GBA will work properly.
I might be mistaken, but the emulator might be using video enhancements needed by video cards, and going through a virtually emulated machine such as Wine might not work, as the drivers for video is just run through to be output on Linux.
I'm assuming this as on my Windows machine, when I try to run games that require Direct3D and such in my Windows 7 virtual machine in VMWare, they simply refuse to work correctly.

My virtual OS has DirectX 9 installed in it's own "C drive"(Wine uses a portion of your hard drive to store/run necessary Windows files). Wine is actually pretty amazing considering what it is, my physical hardware is the only thing keeping me from being able to run games like Skyrim. Though so far, Wine/Ubuntu seem like the only thing to blame for this. It's still crazy though, because as I said, nocash has absolutely no problem running any other roms, but there's also the fact that the B&W2 roms are twice the size of the biggest rom that I currently run with no issues.
According to the WineHQ database, the only thing that ISN'T possible is the OpenGL 3D rendering, which shouldn't be necessary for just this one game right? I play the original Black or White at a solid 50fps with no autoskip and it runs smooth...well until I spend too much time in the storage box or items menus, but it fixes itself as soon as I exit them.
Eh, I'm done trying, but thanks for at least trying to help.

Thank you for the ROMs, by the way.

Did you try DeSmuMe?
I don't really get why people are still trying to work with No$GBA, DeSmuMe is by far superior as an emulator overall compared to the other...
@Mighty Falcon: No problems mate!

Oh and Mighty Falcon try tuning off ex5 after you get past the start screen that should make it a little better. You could also try decreasing the size of the emulator a bit.

Hello there. I need help. I am encountering problems with desmume while playing black 2 rom. I realized that the sounds a little off. When a pokemon initiates a move some sound effect is not there. Battle sounds is just not complete. Before this happened, I played other black 2 rom for I think for four days already ( I got this rom from a link from youtube which has 500mb of size. ) and nothing was wrong with it except when i save game it lags. But today this problem occurred. So I thought downloading a new rom would solve the problem and I googled for another rom and arrived here and downloaded. Also I downloaded new desmume emulator but after playing the new rom and new emulator, minutes after, after a few battles the problem arrived again. So I am asking for help. Don't worry, I probably buy myself a DS and this game specially now that ginesect is up for grabs and is only available till some time in november.
If you're playing on a emulator, I think that getting Genesect shouldn't be your goal for getting a DS. All you need is PokeGen to hack one up

Oh, does anybody notice that the timings between the intro and it's music is a bit..off? Must because of the effect of EX5...

could you please tell me your Emulation options?
the game freezez for me when i go to the pokemons Summary menu and I'm assuming it might be because of that
any other suggestions would also be helpful... thanks

Second, as to my settings I have changed nothing on nozoomer except to select the screen size I prefer and and to turn on and off different ex settings depending on the game I'm playing. For this one I only have ex5 on and that is only until I get past the part were you need it then I turn it off. As for my other settings under emulation settings I have again kept everything basically "Default" emulator speed is reeltime auto, video output is 24bit true, 3D renderer is set to nocash, and sound output is digital mono. I hope that you find this useful.

thanks mateall right here. First off I'm using no$gba 2.6a with nozoomer 2.3.0.2 with the firmware and both bios files in the same folder as the emulator. If you you don't have the bios and firmware files I suggest you get them, you can get a complete download of everything from here http://www.dgemu.com...s/#entry4834494 just scroll down to the emulator download section. I believe the bios and firmware should solve most peoples problems.
