I don't really get why people are still trying to work with No$GBA, DeSmuMe is by far superior as an emulator overall compared to the other...


Because it's NOT superior, it requires much better hardware to run at a playable speed. It may have less bugs and better support, but if you don't have a good computer it runs like trash, which in my book, doesn't make it better. I have a Linux native version of it and, as I said in previous posts, it's "painfully slow and playing games on it could be a legitimate method of torture"

Can you plss help me . I downloaded pokemon black 2 ap patch and uncompressed it on my desktop . then i dowloaded the AP patcher and put the uncompressed folder on my desktop . Then i dragged the rom pokemon Black 2(U) ap patched.nds on the dicastia.exe . after some while it says TEXT and then some japanese terms . i click ok(there is no yes and no BAK file created).THen i put the nds file in my wood r4 1.49 in my nds lite . I opened my nds file , it loads , then it comes white screen and does'nt continue . PLLEEASSE HELPP!!

Can someone please help me??? I have tried Desmume on some roms but playes freakishly SLOW, it cant be played. Is this rom ok?
Also, to play this rom here i need to download the AP pre-patched rom,
but what i do after that? i cant unzip it it needs a code. Also why do u say i need this to play the game if i also need all the others here? Can someone please tell me the exact steps i need to do that? There are ppl that need exact steps because some dont understand english pretty well.

I got the first badge today and received the C-Gear. There's something strange with the C-Gear I tell you. Whenever I clicked the red IR button and choose any of its categories (e.g Trade, Battle, Feeling Check...) the screen goes black and the game freezes. Even if I deselect EX0 and EX5, the problem still exist. Is there any way to get rid of that freeze or should I leave it? No$Zoomer doesn't have Wi-Fi features anyway...

I'm experiencing quite an annoying problem/bug with my Pokémon Black 2 rom on my Nintendo DSLite (DSTWO card). I'm using the patched rom version, and I have all of the patches for my flashcart EOS and firmware. The problem is: whenever I try to compete in the Driftveil Tournament, the game freezes right after I defeat Hugh, just after the message that tells us to look at the big screen. The music is still on, but everything else seems frozen since nothing at all happens after this point. Has this happened to someone else? Or might anyone know what's wrong? I've waited for several minutes for something to happen in the game, but as I've said, nothing happens.

right I haven't played it much lately but I do remember getting the C-Gear and immediately pressing a button on it and it worked fine for me, the only thing that happened was the text on every thing went rainbow color. I don't know why you're having trouble with it but sense it's useless on no$gba I'd say just leave it turned off.

as to what you need to play the game, that depends on how you try to play it. If you are playing it on a compatible flashcart or DeSmuMe then all you need is the prepatched rom. However if you can only play it on an emulator and desmume runs to slowly you could try no$gba 2.6a with nozoomer and the two bios files and the firmware. you can find a download for that emulator with everything I mentioned included here http://www.dgemu.com...s/#entry4834494 just scroll down to the emulator download section. however you will need to use the AP cheat codes along with the patched rom to play that way.

first of all it sounds like the rom you are trying to patch has already been patched so trying to patch it again could mess it up. If you still have the zip file for the rom try deleting the old rom and unzipping a fresh one from it and try it.

Try copying the files onto your computer and playing it with desmume. Might be able to get past it then. Save it and copy it back over lol. Might also tell you if it's the card or the game then.

The game is working perfectly for me on my R4iTT card, latest firmware, "NEW".(thank you for the ROM btw). Thing is... I can't use the C-gear. Whenever I turn it on, my game freezes. So I have to play without it, but I miss a few functionalities from it.

Is there any fix for this? Any sort of program I can use? Maybe YSMenu or something? (though I have no idea which firmware of that to use with my flashcard).

Help would be very much appreciated.

YESYESYESYESYES I GOT IT WORKING ON NO$GBA/WINE!!!


I just found out yesterday that there was a new release of Ubuntu, so I upgraded from 11.10 to 12.10(12.04 doesn't like my hardware configuration so I had to wait for this release to upgrade) and after it was all finished, out of curiosity I decided to give Black 2 another shot, and it worked! I'm so excited!

Goodbye free time XD


Edit: And of course, now I'm running into other issues. Every time I go to the Pokemon menu, upon exiting the menu the game freezes and holds out whatever note is playing. I seen a suggestion earlier to use 2.6 instead of 2.6a, but that didn't change anything. I'm making progress though at least! haha

I'm using Woods R4 version 1.53.

Yesterday I play a couple of minutes of the AP Patched Pokemon Black 2 and then save. Today, when I'm about to play the game, suddenly the save game gone. I play the AP Patched Pokemon White 2 just now and saved it. When I re-load the game, the save game is there. So I'm doing the same with AP Patched Pokemon Black 2 once again and try to re-load it again. This time the save game is there.

Anyone can explain to me what happenned ?

Weird I just tried playing it on$gba 2.6a to see if I could recreate your problem and couldn't manage to get past the start screen, I'll have to work on that later. Anyway as to your problem this member quoted here

Am i the only one xperiencing problems with the pokemon stats screen? whenever i press summary the screen turns black and stays black (no$gba)

oh nevermind it worked with no$gba 2.6a with no$zoomer :D

I'm using the zoomer, but I'm not using the bios and firmware files, so I'll add those into the directory and see what happens from there. I tried all of that before I upgraded and didn't keep any of the files because I didn't need them for anything else.

The screen doesn't always go black, but it freezes upon exiting the Pokemon menu, no problems with the Items menu. Every so often it will also freeze on a random action(entering a battle, talking to somebody, entering a building, etc.)

Edit: Ok, so adding the 2 bios files and the firmware file into the nocash directory fixed the freezing problem with the Pokemon menu, haven't played long enough to see if I get any random crashes, but this is progress beyond what I expected a few days ago. I'll post my results after playing for a while(or when it crashes haha).

I'm using an ak2i on a DSL, white 2 runs perfectly except for when I am doing box operations. It allows me to deposit pokemon, but when I withdraw them, it freezes. The image is stuck but the music is playing normally. Any ideas?

I've uploaded the roms in one zip and then uploaded an all-in-one sort of thing with the roms and emulators already setup to make it easier for some people. Maybe you could put that somewhere in the first post or something. I dunno. Anyways, gonna be a hermit now and I'll report how everything goes once I've finished the game. :P

Does anybody know as to why i dont get EXP after a battle?,,,,,, im playing the clean black 2 rom and Emulator is DeSmuMe 0.9.8

NVM i used the patched rom and it seems to work now.......
Please note: If this is what the patch fixes i did not know for i have not toyed with patched roms....

I'm using r4 wood 1.53 and everything was working fine, but when i try to exit driftveil bridge the game freezes. any ideas on how to fix this?

First off I want to thank you for uploading this and all the work you've done. This is the first time I've worked with a emulator for Pokemon but more importantly a game with online capabilities. Is it possible to access the online battle system and trading system or do I need to do that on the retail copy?

I'm using Desumume on my PC. Thanks for the help. I've also noticed the game is playing very slowly. I thought the music was just out of sync, but that isn't it.

First of all, I want to thank you for uploading these resources and your work has been great to the community.

However, I did encounter a problem while running the game (the ap pre-patched version) on DeSmuME 0.9.8 (in which I believe is the latest version) which I would like to ask about. The game has been running smoothly without any major problems, but it seems to freeze every time I try to withdraw any pokemon from the computer, as well as by talking to an old man in the house in Route 7.

Its rather strange to me as I didn't use any cheats, while I did not do anything against the process of the game, hence I want to ask is there any solution to solve this particular problem.

Once again thank you for your help and your work, and I'm really thankful about that.
