I think you got reputation and warning mixed up. reputation only reflect what other people think of you. A good reputation is always nice but either good or bad it does not affect your conversion points.
Warning on the other hand affects how much points you spend to converse into DP. Warning points 0 means your at neutral, you do not pay more or less points to get DP points.
Negative does not mean bad for warning. For example let say you have -10% warning. It means you spend 10% less . If it takes 3.00 to get points on 0 warning, It will only take you 2.70 to get a point on -10% warning. If you get +50% warning it means you will spend 4:50 points. Well i am not sure if this is the correct math but i do hope you get my point.
Edit: I just reread the conversion points page and it goes by 9 and not 10
. Sorry about that my math is wrong but the concept is correct. So you can either get a max of -190% means you will only pay 10% of the total. Example is 30-1 is normal, you will only pay 3-1 so 3 gp for 1 dp. or you pay 190% which means you pay 90% more then normal. so instead of 30-1 you pay 57-1, 57 gp = 1 dp points. My math is pretty terrible so i am not 100% sure this is right either hehe.
