bunch of good suggestion , but i still love final fantasy tactic on ds ... the reason why i love fire emblem too i guess ( i find that fire emblem has a little bit more of an adult game but from some point of view lack in the job choice system)

Fire Emblem: Awakening is definitely the best reason to get a 3DS, imho

Though it seems to not take full advantage of the 3DS hardware, Etrian Odyssey 4 is a good, solid piece of classic RPGing - to the point where I'm considering adding Etrian Odyssey: Millenium Girl to the hat.
All this, considering I just bought the 3DS to play just Rune Factory 4 originally (this one is a bit of an acquired taste) and spotted EO:4 on my way out of the shop.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned the awesomeness that is A Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. While the game is short, it is easily one of my favorite games to be released on a handheld EVER!

Resident evil revelations - raid mode gives you replayable value
Kid icarus uprising - controls may take time to get used to but story and characters makes this game so fun to play

Also, if you don't mind playing DS games on your 3DS you can play the golden sun series. It's always been a fun throwback for me.

Definitely The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time(greatest game ever) and A Link Between Worlds The last game I recommend is Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

Not exactly the right topic for this gaming mom, but there really wasn't much in dsi exclusives, so the way ofcooking games depend on if you mean mini games that vaguely teach cooking, (cooking mama games) or if you speak of the personal trainer cooking program which really isn't a game.

Super Smash Bros is fun, especially when you play with multiple people. The pokemon games are also pretty good.
