There was no way I was going to just use the bog-standard 'hello' for my first post here.  :milo:

Here, though? Sure. Hello.

I'm Christopher, and I'm an addict. (Everyone says, "Hello, Christopher" at this point, right?) I've been playing video games for over 30 years now. Yeah, I'm one of those graybeards who got started on an Atari 2600 back when it was relatively new. In hindsight, I should've tried to keep all my old stuff, but at the time I didn't get very attached to stuff when it got outdated.

I'll freely admit to using sites like this to pick up the occasional game; mainly, I do it to get the things that are just really really really hard-to-find, or as a way of testing (as in, do I want to shell out actual cash money for Etrian Odyssey? Turned out I did).

Outside of console gaming, my main interests are tabletop RPGs (the kind with the funny dice) and my wife and son.

:bai:

ALL the video games. Does this mean you've played all the systems too?

What a very formal and polite introduction, Christopher. Hello and welcome to DGEmu.

There are a few I missed, so I'd say about 90% of the ones released in the US.

Hello, Christopher. :)

Good to have you on board. Yes, a site like this is actually quite useful when it comes to acquire games for testing.

Unfortunately, I don't date all the way back to the Atari 2600, but from the NES era all the way to the current gen, I own quite a lot.

And no, not the forgotten consoles like the Atari Jaguar or CDI, But I do own a PC Engine and other nice consoles with proper flash carts to them to enjoy games I can't get.

If you have some money to enjoy at least the roms on the original consoles, it's halfway there. And if you have more money and time, you would go hunt down the games you definitely want, just like what I do.
