You shouldn't be ashamed what would be the point of making them if you had to just sit around alone plus everybodys always on their phones so a DS is no big deal.

Maybe a little or maybe its just awkwardness. Being the only one that pulls it out and plays it. But i noticed people don't generally care unless it affects them, and you don't care once you get into the game. I like to think that they just jealous cause they don't have one

It is funny this thread is here because I have asked myself about this recently. I feel it because in my area who I have mostly seen playing DS/3DS in public are little or pre-teen kids and I am 37, so there is a bit of an age gap. ![]()
I do feel odd playing the DSI in public, which is a shame and I am trying to get over it as I have lots of medical appts and it could be useful. However, last ER visit I took it and was playing Harvest Moon while enduring the endless wait...
I should not care and no one should care, but yet I do lol.

They should not say that, you play that game and look them in the eye and tell them it is the same as having an Xbox or play station.
I still play my game boy which people sometimes think is for even younger kids, but really some of its games are harder than some recent ones.
