So I've been wondering. We all have our favorite Pokemon, our least favorite Pokemon and everything in between. So, I have a question for you guys.

What is your Dream Team when it comes to Pokemon? In other words, what is, to you, the team that you would assemble that would be the One True Team of Awesomeness that'd take you to the Elite Four of a region and beyond? Think very carefully on this question, because it often reveals how you battle and the kind of Trainer you are. That said, it's fun to see what other people do with the Pokemon they love and fight with.

Here are some guidelines to help you decide:

1. No Legendary Pokemon allowed. Anyone who disobeys will get slapped in the face with a Magikarp.

2. You may use Pokemon from all six regions. Hell, I encourage cross-region pollination. I use that strategy myself.

3. You may use more than one team, but I do ask that you consider your primary dream team first.

4. Have fun! This is a mix and match kinda thing and something I like to do for fun. Who knows, maybe you'd see something you want to try!

Alright, here's where I start off, as an example.

Dragonite: My favorite Dragon type. Even though it's weaknesses are well-known and the new Fairy type kills it good, it's got good stats and a wide movepool. Plus, it can go supersonic. Remember that Pokedex entry about it circling the globe in 16 hours? Speed = distance/time, so assuming an equatorial circumference and our Earth...so it can reach a speed of 1556 mph or 2504 kmh, which is Mach 2.04. Guess what other Pokemon also goes that fast. That's faster than most jet fighters, folks!

Tyranitar: My lead and favorite Ghostbuster and Psycho-crusher. It's a Godzilla expy with a major rival in Aggron, another Pokemon I use often. I wonder what would happen if those two fought. On second thought, best not to wonder too much. The city I'm in won't last long!

Metagross: My main Psychic/Steel type. I use it to hit hard and strong, but I know full well that it'll die quickly as soon as someone's packing a Flamethrower. Still, like they say, go with your favorites, and Metagross is definitely my favorite Psychic type.

Drapion: Hahahaha! Face my other feared Psychic slayer, and one with a massive stinger, to boot! I generally don't use Poison types, but I've found good use for him lately. With the new Fairy types being but a meal to him, I'm sure to get more use out of my awesome scorpion!

Galvantula: When B/W came out and this little bug zapper appeared, I just had to have it! It's Joltik form is so cute and fuzzy and remains so even when it becomes a bug that all birds shall fear!

Tyrantrum: Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you...the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex! Yeah, this is one Pokemon that that I would definitely put on my Dream Team.

Notice that they're all dual-types. I generally favor dual types because I get wider and more interesting coverage. This particular team has good coverage defense and offense-wise, though the weaknesses they do have can put the hurt on them. Still worth it, in my opinion.

Now, this is just one Dream Team that I've got up. Others may come later, but I'd like to see what others got on their belts first. Go forth and dream!

I prefer to fight with pokémon I really like, not paying too much attention to what is the best technique to survive any battle.

Okido, here goes:

- Salamence, because badass dragons. Uses physical moves like dragon claw, earthquake, etc.

- Another Salamence, because more badass dragons and Salamence is the shit. This one uses special moves like dragon pulse and flamethrower.

- Garchomp, because even more badass dragons and his mega evolution is brutality incarnate.

- Metagross, because it's a mother fricking supercomputer that bashes stuff. Can also take care of any fairies you throw at me.

- Charizard, because moar dragons. Maybe I'll let this bad boy mega evolve instead of Garchomp though. Mega Charizad Y with moves like solar beam beats the everliving shit out of almost anything.

- Hydreigon, because, you guessed right, it's a badass dragon.

You may notice my slight preference of dragon types. That has no particular tactical reason, I just like 'em.

I think this is also exactly the team I currently have in Pokémon Y, except for Charizard, I have a Gardevoir there instead.

What, no Deoxys? Fine.

Based off of my favorites, my team would probably look something like:

  1. Gardevoir.
  2. Cofagrigus.
  3. Roserade
  4. Kabutops.
  5. Volcarona
  6. Golurk.

No particular strategy here. I'm one of those people who pick Pokemon 'cause I like how they look.

*shudders at Roserade*

I hate fighting Roserade and its pre-evolution when I don't have a Fire, Psychic or Flying type handy. They're pretty tough for Grass Pokemon.

Blastoise- Blastoise because I started with a Squirtle and I've always loved the line. With the arrival of X, also because it can Mega-Evolve into Mega Blastoise with Blastoiseite, and given most of people's favorite 'competitive' Pokemon can Mega Evolve, I figure I might as well include one that can.

Feraligatr- Because I'm a sucker for water types and while Squirtle was my first starter, Totodile and it's line have always been my favorite. Mix in an ice fang and bam.

Beedrill- Because Beedrill is Beedrill. Weedle (and thus it's entire evolutionary family) was my first favorite Pokemon, and the first Pokemon I looked at and thought 'cool! I want one of those!' about.

Greninja- Because it's pretty powerful, especially a Protean Greninja. It's a hard tie between it and a Talonflame for my favorite Kalosian Pokemon, though many of them are cool/good. Because of its status as a Starter, because I have one, and because it just looks so dang cool using its moves- it's gotta be here.

Talonflame- I wasn't sure about this bugger at first, but they're effective, powerful, and cool. I love Falcons and this reminds me of one- and its also the first elemental regional bird I can think of. It says something that I'm putting it as my token bird as opposed to say, Fearow or Noctowl- which is my long standing favorite.

Haxorus- Because I like most dragon types, just not enough to put them on my team, but I find Axew cute, and I love the idea of a heavy metal dragon-dinosaur on my team. It would probably be more effective to use Salamence or Garchomp, but Haxorus is too cool for me to just ignore.
